Hello all, and I am here to disturb you. In case you don't know about the 1994 genocide in Rwanda (which many people don't), here is a link so you can learn about it.

The entire industrialized world failed the Rwandans, but this thread is about how France is the biggest shitheads out of them all. Now, the following articles show that France helped arm and support the Hutu militia, which slaughtered more than 800,000 unarmed civilians, mostly armed with clubs and machetes.

Although it is not proven substantially, many think that the French still support the Hutu militia (mostly in east Congo) with money and weapons. Furthermore, they helped get visas for active participants in the genocide to avoid persocution. Many of these monsters still live in many countries in Africa. I'm sure that France had some kind of monetary motive for this. I'm sure that the fact that almost 1 million would die was nothing to them, as long as they had a pro-france government in Rwanda. To me, this is absolutely dispacable, and other powers should demand an explanation. This does not, of course absolve the nations of Europe, Oceana, and USA of any guilt. The fact is, Rwanda is the smallest, most densely popultaed country in Africa. It would be incredibly easy for any modern military to end hostilities and killings. But no, that would just be too much of a political hot-button. All the reporting about things like Terry Shiavo, missing kids in some random state, high gas prices, and other insignificant trifles.

Oh, and bye the way the same god-damnes thing is happening on a lesser sclae in the Dharfor reigon of Sudan. Do a google search. Sometimes I am ashamed to be living in such a world. it must be because Africa has no substantial rescources that would justify the cost and effort of military action. Simply dispicable.

It's dispicable. I reccoment the movie "Hotel Rwanda" if you don't like to read. It's also pretty shameful that people would rather post about thing like abortion, Bush, and other trifles compared to such atrocities.
