Hi everybody.
I had a nasty battle with SM that I think I finally won. But now I found out that product called Azatrol will kill them if you will mix it with water and water your plants. SM than will drink the plant juce that was poisoned and will die. Do you think it's going to work? If it is, for next time I rather do that than spraying plants or using booms. It sounds like Azatrol will do less damage to the plants if you'll use it this way, because spraying fucks up plants pretty good. What's your take on this?

I have had luck with a product with the EXACT same ingredients called Azamax. They are both good products. (I have only used Azamax during Veg though).

I've got no experience with either (I prefer Neem),.... but two other growers that I've visited haven't been able to kick they're mites with foliar spray's of Azamax. I'm not sure if they've tried the systemic approach (watering it in)

But I'm with Lynx'y I'd only use anything in vege.

I had a critically bad infestation. I tried just about EVERYTHING! I mean EVERYF'NTHING. Then one day desperatly searching, in an old, old book on Orcids....there it was. The cure.
Mist every other day with straight 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. Yep, alcohol.
It evaporates quickly so there is minimal risk of harming the plant. I figured Orcids are kinda persnickity and delicate and if the Alcohol doesn't harm them, then...why not? I don't however mist directly under my lamps. It stops them little MF'ers right in there tracks, but doesn't seem to affect eggs so the every other day regime seems to be keeping them under control at least. My crop has been saved!:D

Alcohol is very, very risky.

Do not know about Azatrol but I know neem and you can do the same thing with neem, mix and put in water and water plant and they uptake it.

Which costs less? Which is less toxic? You need to research that. Neem has never failed me.

If you guys have trouble that bad where neem oil wont keep them away, i think Azatrol is neem oil actuly that is also mixed with agressive insecticide, but if you have something so bad that its not doin its job, then sulfer kills all, even out doors, so becaeufull if your spraying around pets or fish whatever. and if you use a sulfer pot or sulfer burner then you dont have to spray it sprays for you , with out mositer. Which I know a few people who use sulfer burners right on into flowering, just to make sure they dont get anything on those buds, and about 1 month- 2 weeks they stop the burns every week.

But personaly when the flowers are about to show, I say no more spraying no more burning, as well.

yes sirs i wont use anything in flower, if i doubt its contents. glad to see most people understand this premise. thats all we need for our movement is for some ignorant smuck to die from smoking some pesticide. the news would just looooove that. yet there is no truth on the news especially when it pertains to mj.

Yea, all that is good, but spraying plants with different pesticides is stincky and very time consuming especially when you have a lot of plants and they are full of leafs. I sprayed them with Safer 3 times with intervals of 3 days than placed a bom and hanged 2 No Pest Strips and now little MF's are gone. But this was a lot of Fk work. What I would like to know if watering plants with Azatrol will kill the Fuckers fast and without harming a plant. What you think? If anyone has that experience with Azatrol please let us know. Because frankly spraying is not an option. You need to spray all leafs on top and worst of all on the bottom, than plans also will go in to a s

hock. I was spraying for hours and it's not a fun. You also have to make sure that you will not inhail that shit and make sure that stuf doesn't get into your eyes, skin and mouth. I guess if you need to spray one or two plants that's not a problem.

The active pesticidal ingredient in Azatrol and Azamax is 1.2% Azadirachtin.
Azadiractin is extracted from neem oil making it more potent than straight neem oil, also it is more water soluble for easier spraying and drenching.
There are also products containing "Clarified hydrophobic extract of neem oil" which contains less Azadirachtin.

Summary
These two active ingredients are derived from the oil found in neem tree seeds. Humans have used this naturally-occurring oil for millennia for medicinal, cosmetic, and pesticidal purposes. When used in pesticide products, both azadirachtin and clarified hydrophobic extract of neem oil can be applied to many food and non-food crops indoors and outdoors to control certain insects and related pests.

Azadirachtin and Clarified Hydrophobic Extract of Neem Oil are derived from the natural oil found in seeds of the neem tree, Azadirachta indica A.Juss, which is native to arid regions of India. The ability of the oil to repel pests has been known for thousands of years; the oil also has been used on skin and medicinally. When the natural neem oil is removed from the seeds and treated with alcohol, virtually all of the azadirachtin and related substances separate from the oil itself. The remaining oil - without the azadirachtin - is called Clarified Hydrophobic Extract of Neem Oil. Azadirachtin acts in the following ways: It deters certain insects, such as locusts, from feeding and it interferes with the normal life cycle of insects, including feeding, molting, mating, and egg laying.

I never have, but I know people who have watered it in as per the label rates, and none have had problems with burning the plants. I have not heard of anyone eradicating their mite infestation by watering in neem products
Also remember to rotate sprays, you just can't rely on one thing.
And spray often.
And spray them when they're young.:rastasmoke:
