Weed Daddy's Grow log #2 several types

Here is my next grow log.

I crashed and burned last time in the middle of my last grow log with that re-veg light issue....came back from it....and actually had a pretty good outcome.

Spider Mites.....SUCK......I finally got ride of them....and I am never buying clones or accepting clones from anyone....If I can not take my own cutting ...and dip them...I will only grow from my own clones or from seeds.....I know that is harsh.....but....it sure solves the mite issue.

Ok on the grow.....I am going for a Hypred grow.....I have a SCROG going with a custom made table....sloped front to back and side to side covered in plastic.....all plants are in 3 gal grow back....I water every other day till I can set up a drip system...the runoff droppes right off in a 5 gal bucket.

The plants were flipped on 12/12 on December 22, 2010. I set up the screen last week....I have 4 different strains in there....Grape Romulan, NY Sour Diesel, Purple Berry Kush, and Space Queen......I may take out the space queens...as they are pretty far behind the others.

My others is a another table with a SOG at this point.....there is Grand Daddy Purple, Grape Romulan, Blue Dream, OG kypronite Kush, and Purple Berry Kush.

I love that OG kypronite.....minty......lemony......skunky......j ust awesome medicine......I wish I had an SOG with all OG Kypronite's

Also, I have two seed projects.....one is the Purple Urkle X Train Wreck ......hoping for a beautiful "Purple Wreck" ...with all the purple and the train wreck...yield.

The other seed project is Pure Power Plant......looking for that special Pheno...

I soaked 10 seeds of each......9 purple train wrecks came up and 8 Pure Power Plants came up.....with any males I will do some back breeding.

Yummy Grape Romulan......just fantastic....heavy trichomes....the smell is skunky grapes....more grape that skunk....and the color is very appealing. I got 3 cuttings from a friend...only one made it...and used as a mother and have about 30 of these in my current grow....this is the mother, as I have replaced her and thought I would just flower her to see...if my assment was correct.....wow.....just awesome medicine

Well.....this has been a wounderful grow....no mites....no bugs really of any kind....no mold....the 1700 cfm fan goes on and off every 15 minues the Co2 does the same except in a delay...so everytime the fan is off the Co2 is on. room is 62 to 68 at night...depends how cold it is outside....and 76 to 82 in the day....With the new tables watering is very easy...runoff goes right in to a bucket...no mess....on overflow....no problem.

The Seed project is going very strong the Power Plant is very fast growing and the Purple Train Wreck....plants are very dark in color....Just moved them in to flower for sexing....left them in 1 gal containers till sexing is complete....then will move into 3 gal grow bags.....I like the grow bags so far....easy to use and you can get more soil in one than a 3 gal round pot.

The Scrog is comming along really well....in the future I would only grow 1 strain or possibly 2 strains....I have 4....it's working well...but some will finish about 2 weeks ahead of the others....the tops are pretty much all the same level....the buds are really starting to swell....some will be ready to cut in 2 weeks other 3 weeks.

THE SOG on table 2 is awesome...just awesome....all plants are in 3 gal grow bags....the buds are swelling very nicely....just beautiful big hard buds.....

I will up date again prior to harvest thought I would give you some shots of the buds.

This is a test plant...and Have Two if them...Pure Original Kush....very sexy plant.....lemony....minty smell....3 gal bag....it will ve a nice yield...wish I had more....but I kept a mother....so I can start some cuttings

Green Tai.....the picture looks deceiving....with all the big leaves...the bud looks small....what is really there is one huge Cola.....the whole plant is a cola......

I've been watching. Your pictures are always stunning and make me wish for a taste. Please let us see the end results on all 4. I'm also curious about how efficient the SCRog was as compared to the SOG. Then after you have cured and tasted... I want to hear which one was your favorite.

So Far my experience for SOG.......the GDP is excellent....short growing and huge colas....the smell.....is just awesome.....very forgiving plant to grow....This Green Thai I have growing is interesting....very short....kinda of a couple different phenos....I have two are are very nice huge single colas...excellent for SOG...and then I have two that are tall....more of a sativa type plant....I have some clones from them that are rooted....i would like to do a SOG with this strain. Maybe it's just me...but the leaves have 9 distinctive different leave fingers.....Can't wait to taste it.

The Scrog....is looking great....at this point both the SOG and SCROG both are working excellent. The Buds on the SOG are way bigger....but Scrog has many more buds per plant.

IMHO anyway, SOG is the better way to go for growers that aren't concerned with count,.... A grow of 50 clones flowered from clone will pull 25oz (aprox) in 2 months. Where a SCROG grower will still be veging 2-4 plants that will pull the same weight or more when finished.


SCROG is not an efficient method for low vege times (flowering from rooted clones).... but if you want high yield per plant SCROG is the way to go!!!

You could be right......I am very concerned with plant count and always stay under it.

I do not flower directly from rooted clones....the Scrog was veged for 21 days and the SOG was the same....I have the same plants in 15 gallon containers that are huge....the pot size is a direct reflection in the size of the plant. The GDP in the SOG with 3 gallon bags is 1 huge cola....the same age GDP in a 15 gallon pot is like 16 smaller colas...and like a week behind the smaller pot...though they are the same age....seems like the smaller pots mature faster and of course they are smaller.

The Scrog....is also the same age....and about a week behind the SOG....not sure why...but they were topped to branch out and they were pushed down under the screen to get more bud sites...which led to more branching.

Container size has a major effect on plant size....and bud size....and maturity of the plants.....also....in the grow bags.....they dry out very fast...water almost every other day...in the 15 gallon pots....still water every two days...but they never dry out to the extent of the grow bags.

Experiment.....learn......experment more.....learn more......fine tune what works for you.....

The Scrog was a success 16 plants....4 differest types....here is what I found out about the Scrog....all tables are 4 x 6 with 1000 watte horlux super HPS bulbs....the outer rows were less productive...and buds were smaller interior plants were excellent and very heavy with lots of beautiful buds....ended up 930 grams...just over 2 lbs from one 1000 watt light ....did not average a gram a watt though:mad:
I did not lolly pop the buds and i believe if I did that I would of easily mad the gram per watt easily.

The SOG was a bigger success....did not lolly pop them either. 16 plants and was able to move them and adjust them with blocks to keep the cannopy correct....ended up with 1040 grams....had huge single colas on some that I did not top and some awesome double colas for one toping....very easy to control and water....I like this method better.
Next time I am going to lolly pop them to see if I can get some more bud production.

6 plants in 15 gallong pots all did excellent....i just do not believe the yield and space justifies the 15 gallon pots....it's just too much work....I am not going to use them again...I am building more tables.:rasta:

Hey WD! I've been hanging around watching this...You have some great strains there, but I'm curious, now that your done...which ones would you not grow again? So far the Green Crack is the only one.

As far as yield and easy to grow the GDP is excellent. Ny Sour Diesel is another excellent yielder and great smoke.

My favorite smoke is the OG kypronite....not a great yielder....but truley AAAA grade....

Purple Dragon.....I have some really good ones hanging right now...should be very good.

I have gone totally organic.....I have an inspector comming to the grow room on sunday to certify my grow space as Clean Green Certified Organic......have not used any advanced nutrients, or synthics, sprays or anything for over 70 days now.

It all bat quanno, kelp, fish emulasion, seaweed extract, rock dust.....etc...etc..etc......the medicine is still flused....but the taste is awesome.
