.2) Distance from tops? approx 1 foot
.3) Reflector type? ballast
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? two small circular fans i think its sufficient

.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule?12/12 400w
Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. terrazilla, cheap potting mix
.8) Size of container. 12 litre pb bag
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings? no
Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) tap water
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...) not checking ph
12) Method of adjusting water ph
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) using nitrophoska blue balls and epsom salts
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? water each plant 1 litre every 3 4 days and add water to bottom of grow room for plants to soak up
15) Any additives or tea
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate? dont know what ph levels are growing in soil
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph?
18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray. after lights out give leaves a spray with water usually sometimes add epsom salts and nitrophoska blue balls diluted

Its hot in there. Get an exhaust. Use effective intakes or blow air to the bulb. Raise the light little higher from the canopy.

Pictures would help.
Cannabis is pretty finicky about her ph. You'll want to find out your local water conditions, and adjust accordingly. You can either Google for your local municipal water report, or get a ph kit or ph pen.
Granulated ferts (the "slow" or "time-release" kind) are generally a no-no in container gardening. If the plants are getting overfertilized, (which I suspect they are) there's no way to remove the nutrients or adjust the feedings. (transplant into fresh soil, change nutrients asap)
There's a sticky around here somewhere about epsom salts not being a miracle cure. Find it and read it. You might just be dehydrating the plants with too many salts. If you're going to transplant into fresh soil soon, not a big deal. If not, you'll want to flush the salts out with properly ph'd water.
NEVER let the plants sit in standing water. It will cause nutrient lockout and will lead to root rot. Cannabis prefers a wet-dry cycle. Let the soil dry between waterings.
95 degrees is pretty warm. You'll likely want to try and cool the daytime temps, or keep the night time temps higher. Try and keep the high and low temps as close to each other as possible. (a maximum of 15-20 degrees f. difference, if possible)
tevfik: if your going to help troubleshoot other members grows, you'll need to be much more thorough. This is a medical cannabis site, and I know I'd get pretty pissed were a member to jump in and mention only one issue, when there are multiple issues. Half an answer is no answer, and this is neither the time nor the place to do things half-assed.

no offense but i would chalk this up as learning 101. get what you can and move on. meanwhile, research genitics, methods of cultivation, and purchase things along the way if your on a budget. then you will really start having some fun. with a spuddie; enough just isnt enough. Sorry smokyjlamo, there is no heat issue, don't touch the light, you don't need an exhaust either, let them breath same old air in there, they will be fine with that old air and unused nutrients. Most important thing is your PH, specially if you're using soil but hydro. Set your PH balanced then you're fine.
And probably you learned that tray watering thing from some other shitty forums. Here you never can find such an information points to that. We don't water from the bottom. Never!

cheers for the feed back guys no need to fight though i appreciate all the help i can get and value all opinions
things have got worse though the plant looks like its going to die some of the stronger lats have started drooping, its my first indoor grow, and yup im think im guilty of over fert and bit of over watering too,but will take your advice and stop tray watering.
il try to decrease heat as much as i can, but its only a small tent and gets really hot really quick
i may lose this one but ive still got four more so all hope is not lost
keep on toking :rastasmoke:

Good things rarely happen overnight. Try and nurse them through as best you can, and learn from the experience. Read through some Grow Logs, and look for a few members that are growing in a tent, and go from there. See what they do, what they use, and the techniques that help them in a confined gorwroom, and you'll slowly get the hang of it all. Learning is a process, not a switch.

There is no arguing that if you are going to help another member troubleshoot their growroom issues, you should know WTF you're doing. It's too easy for the inexperienced 'helper' to miss an important fact or two in the haste to be the first to answer. Oh, and BTW...this isn't a cannabis club. It's a MEDICAL cannabis club. To my wife with cancer, and me with chronic Hep-C, this isn't a game.
Perhaps you should stop misleading the members you're trying to help by giving the impression your 'help' is going to solve their issues. That's why we have the troubleshooting form. The info was there, and if the only issue you noticed was the temperature and air circulation...then perhaps you should, at the very least, mention that you aren't all that good at troubleshooting, and that there may be more issues that you've missed. (phrase your response to reflect that there may be other issues that you don't notice when posting)
I'm not trying to disuade you from offering help. I'm just trying to help you to keep from killing other member's meds with incomplete diagnosis' and treatment plans.
I stand by my previous response...

I'm just trying to help you guys too save your time and efforts on such a common mistakes made by beginners. I pointed two main factors as i saw from the form. I saw other possibilities but left them for experts to answer if necessary in this case.
I feel sorry about what i responded previously.

I'm not trying to single you out for 30 lashes, but we are dealing with people's meds here. Were CanCom one of those "Homey's F'kin Homegrown" sites that caters to kids and drug addicts, I really wouldn't give a crap.
All I'm asking is to be thorough, or at least point out that the one thing that stuck-out to you is that which you posted about...but that there may be other issues. If smokyjlamo only logs-on once a week, yours may be the only info he reads and responds to. This isn't helpful when there were more than a couple of other issues that were/are more pressing.
Keep learning, keep helping, and keep it real.

my daughter is in third grade and one of the learning tactics is being the teacher for a while, trying to teach others is a huge responibility however it makes one better. most will announce their mediocrity as an attempt to allow the patient to seek and compare info. i personally crossreference everything. when i see the same info coming up i assume that to be the more factual and fine tune it. most often life teaches us through failure so we should be grateful for the privelage of learning. wow i miss overgrow such a wealth of info there. most people at the beginning level will go through hardships here and there even with pro advice its the way of learning. ive seen a few newbs that researched extensively and did a most impressive grow, but not many. keep on keepin on.

Someone wasn't happy about my previous respond.
hey peeps wats up with my plants most of the plant looks pretty healthy just the bottom leaves are dying off and bigger larger shade leaves are crisping and dying off easy to break and deformed looking
First of all, if you have problems, getting a picture in the year 2011 is not so hard thing is it?
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? two small circular fans i think its sufficient
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? no
If there is no fresh air supply to the cabinet then they are blowing same hot air to the leaves. This can cause damages.
You can either use some of your fans for fresh air or by using an exhaust you can have passive intake for fresh air.
Without fresh air photosynthesis can't be effective for using water and the nutrients. This cause damages.
Whatever you do without fresh air you can't heal the plant!
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. terrazilla, cheap potting mix
Cheap potting mix might not be a good choice for taste of your buds.
.8) Size of container. 12 litre pb bag
Whatever it is make sure you have good drainage holes.
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) tap water
Don't use right out of the tap. Let it sit for 1-2 days to get away from Chlorine. Chlorine causes death of organisms in the soil.
Cold water can shock your plants. Make sure its the same or near temperature with the cabinets.
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...) not checking ph
Checking PH every time is not necessary for soil based mediums but good thing to have some tools for it. PH strips are the cheapest and works well.
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) using nitrophoska blue balls and epsom salts
Granules are suitable for gardens. Can be used in pots but you really need to be very careful about the dosage. You can easily mess up and flushing makes things even worse in this case.
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? water each plant 1 litre every 3 4 days and add water to bottom of grow room for plants to soak up
Sounds like 1 liter is not enough for 12 liter medium.
You need to water gently, until water comes from the drainage holes. By doing that you'll not need to add water from the bottom.
21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off? not sure gets pretty hot with lights on, maybe 35 degrees celsius, and pretty cool with lights off
You need to lower the temperature for optimum results. Large difference between day and night temperatures cause problems.
Rusty Trichome: If the full-assed answers pointing to the wrong directions somehow, half-assed but straight ones are much more better than that and doesn't cause death! If smokyjlamo only logs-on once a week and reads mine and responds it doesn't not make things worse. It helps in any way.
But if he reads yours and acts what exactly you answered, there what you said can become true by you.
If you're trying to help, don't think over the other answers. Give yours and let the others give theirs too. Half-assed or full-assed. You're not an authority to decide that.

hey guys thought id chuck up a few pics of my girls, jus so you guys can get a better look at what is goin on,
the bottom pic is my grow room, you can see the fans iv got, im presuming this probably isnt exactly ideal, but it seems to be working,
the middle pic is of the leaves showing quite a few yellow blotchy leaves, and the top pic is one of my shade leaves up close so you can get a better look at what is goin on,
the main thing im worried about is how light in colour they are, they should be a dark green??
but i also wana catch what is wrong before it kills the rest of em, it first starting on the fan leaves and killed them off and has spread through my whole plant now, this is what has happened to my other plant deformed shade leaves that are easy to break and very brittle, what have i done and what should i do.
that is the same plant two weeks ago, now its dead

In was not tray watering, however I had poor drainage. The lower part was turning yellow while the upper part stayed green, for a time, then showed signs of yellowing. I corrected my drainage issue, flushed them really well, let them dry, then paid more attention to a watering schedule and bought a PH pen. They survived, but never really fully recovered. The yield was lighter then it could have been, but the taste was sweet. I realized it's not a stick it in dirt, set the water timer and light timer and hope for the best. It's a science, and I hated science.
These guys/gals here really know their stuff. I look at their number of post's and length of time on the board, it helps with their creds. However, all want to help. That's why I really prefer this board.

hey peeps,
hope theres someone out there still reading, i can do with all the feed back i can get, i think one of my probs was underwatering i thought the yellow on the leaves might have been from over water or nuteburn, but the soil in these bags has been pretty bone dry for along time, hence the reason i started to tray feed, thinking that they would soak up what they need to,
ive since sorted my drainage, and gave my pretties a good soakn last night
am i right to presume that the yellowing was from underwater, you can see pics higher up on this page.
i know its bit late but i want to start doing this properly
would still appreciate some info on ph, ive started checking mine now and its well high, round 8.0, need to get some adjuster, ph levels are most effective round 6.5??been doing a lil research, but when you dont have full access to the net its kinda hard, so would love to hear back bout this
the temp in my room averages in day time from round 32 degrees celsius, and bout 25 at night time, sorry i know you tend to use farenheit lol
is this ok, or still too hot??
another prob im having now is my plants are drooping cos of the height they are, i did a bad thing and started growing some clones in with older plants, so they have stretched hard out to reach the light, now with extra space the long lats have started drooping with the extra weight, ive done a lil lst, just by tying these lats on to the grow room wall, ive read before that i shouldnt do this, but its either that or take the risk of them snapping
i think im going to try growing by hydro next time, all this water and soil is really becoming a pain in the ass haha
wats your preference, soil or hydro, im guessing with hydro you gota be alot more precise and always watch your ph levels, but to me it just seems a lil less costly, and im guessing you can grow alot more in a smaller space. and soil is just freakn messy lol
oh well cheers for the time and look forward to hearing back from somebody
keep on toking:rastasmoke:
