Hey guys, I am new to this but I have and are still doing quite a bit of research!. I started soaking my seeds of Blue Dream on the 23rd of December. there were 7 seeds total. I could not for the life of me find rockwool cubes here in Tucson,Az. But I made something that the roots could grab into and make a good anchor in. Since they have already been in an organic soil mix with vermeculite I am thinking about keeping them in that. on the dws, the water is filled up to about an inch below each pot and then i have some stings of wool hanging down from teh cups to help with water untill I see roots coming out of the holes in the bottom . there are also 3 that I am doing in soil the whole time. right now I have a t-12 light with 2 bulbs and I have a 600w hps on its way. I figured I would run the t-12 untill I got a really good root system built then switch to hps. thoughts? comments? shitty remarks? all are welcome.

For your next run see if Rapid Rooters are available down there in the desert. I thinking you meant DWC and if so put the water right to the bottom of pot and as long as you have good bubbles going on it should "splash" up an inch or 2. Never tried or heard of doing the wool strips but I normally have to hand water from top till roots work down to splashes. Dont have any shitty remarks atm but I will work on that

thanks for the input.. I figured on the wool... that water should transfer through it pretty well...we will see how it goes... one of my sprouts completely layed down after moving the plants to the DWC. but now it is back to facing its pretty petal faces towards the light so im guessing it might have been slightly shocked from the move from pots... all is well as of today though :). keep the comments coming, I look forward to hearing from all of you..

Wow, you sound ambitious - growing it both ways!

I'm boring - always use soil.

Where did you find Blue Dream seeds? I've looked for them everywhere. Finally settled on PPP and Kushberry (high CBD's). And, I went back to Jack Herer and Northern Lights. I would love to try some Blue Dream though, if you've got a link to a seed house that has them, I'd appreciate having it. Thanks in advance

Keep us posted on your progress.

The seeds are from personal stock. I had a total of 9 seeds. planted 7 of them and I have yet to remember where the 7th seed is... it was in the soil somewhere and I forgot to mark it lol.... but yea.

update. So as of today I have the ph at a consistant 5.9 in the dwc. the normal tap water here runs at about 7.5 so it took a bit to get it down. I have fish in my dwc, im pretty sure that this should do them in so ill prolly not have fish after this... anywho... I am just continueing to spritz the plants a few times a day to keep it moist and also spraying a 50/50 solution of water and root stimulator in the soil. once again.... advise and wisdom are welcome

Ok I'm confused. You say DWC and soil basically in same sentence, one question ..... How? :wtf:

READ ME!!!

Since you live in AZ, go to Home grown hydroponics (http://www.homegrownhydro.com/) website, they have two locations one in tempe and the other in phoenix.

Tell them you are looking for a DWC system, with CFL lights, and fan. They will have everything you need, but please DONT pull a classic stoner move and say your trying to grow weed. Say you're trying to grow tomatoes.

Oh and one more thing... Where is the DWC system? I don't see it...

the DWC is the 35 gal. storage bin. it has 3 planters int it. It has a 2 output air pump feeding air to it. .. so the hgh helps get the hydro mediums and such.... but I still need clones
