I am curious as to people's experience with call-in probation and random drug testing. Do they do it? I'm quitting (duh) for the 6 months or so that I'll be reporting in, but I am wondering if I will have any toking liberties after that. My offense is non-drug related. So it seems that with a history of clean drug tests during my reporting portion, they won't have interest later on. Hopefully some of you that have been down this road before can provide me with some sound advice.
Thanks.

very hard to give a for sure answer. In my experience and my friends experiences its up to the PO a lot. Some are dicks (or just good at their job) and dont tell you much and call you in when they feel like it. Others are up front and will basically tell you that as long as you dont get arrested they dont care what you do. My friend had one that used to give pretty blatant hints about when he would be testd while others have had the opposite.
Chances are after 6 months of clean urine your PO will go over a plan with you and might say something like, expect some calls, or if it was good news say something like Ill check in with you in a few months. Either way you cant know for sure until later.

Well, when I say call in probation, I do not mean that the PO calls me to come in. I mean that I call the PO once per month and let him know that I'm still at the same address and that I haven't been arrested. Theoretically, at the point that I am not reporting but calling, I will never see the PO again, but I know that the PO can pull a script flip and call me in regardless. I guess I am looking to find out what the likelihood of this "script flip."
I am a college student with the attention span of a goldfish. I have used cannabis for years to cope with my (clinically diagnosed) ADHD, and provide relief for ankylosing spondylitis. These past two months of detox have already taken a tole on my academics and motivation for school, and my lower back is a complete train wreck.

If you decide to smoke during your probation, i would at least stop a few weeks before your last court date/report date or whatever. I've heard stories about people not getting tested once during their whole probation term and then getting U/A'd the last day.
