So I already took my drug test Monday (Dec 20). It's for pre-employment and I'm a rehire for my Dad's company (so it would look really bad if I didn't pass). I'm not a heavy smoker, probably 2-3 times a week for the past months except for November. I smoked three times in November, one at the very beginning of the month, once on the 19th and the last time I smoked was the 27th. These were all a couple bowls split with other people out of bongs. I didn't exercise too much in the past couple weeks, just light-moderate, but I know I get at least eight glasses of water a day. I'm 5'6 135 and I would say I have a pretty decent metabolism. I also took an at-home test last Saturday (Dec 18th) and passed with a very solid line as dark as the control line. However, this was not the first pee of the day, it was later in the afternoon. I also did some actual exercise for the first time in a while on the last two days leading up to the test. Everyone has been saying not to do this because the THC levels will be higher. I thought that if I passed the home test I passed, but I'm also worried because it wasn't the first use of the bathroom that day. I feel like I am being super paranoid but I am just really worried because if I fail this test it would reflect really poorly on my dad. Could someone please help and try to calm my nerves? It would be much appreciated! I really just want to smoke a huge bowl right now and not have to worry anymore!

The thing is, youve already took the test. And theres nothing that any of us can say that will change the outcome of the test.
Some lessons to be learned:
- When home testing yourself, always use the first urination of the day. THCA levels are at their highest with the first urination of the day, so youd want to perform the test under this "worst case scenario". If youre testing negative with the first urination, then its safe to say youre good to go.
- THC is fat-soluble and not water-soluble. Therefore, drinking water days or weeks before the test is of no help. THC is stored in the fat cells and remain there until the fat cells are burned for energy. You cannot wash away THC from fat cells by drinking lots of water like you can wash dirt from a car.
Drinking water is only helpful on the day of the test. Thats because the water dilutes (thins out) the THCA concentration that is present in the bladder. This phenomena is only temporary - once all of the water consumed had all been urinated out, the "dirty" donor would resume testing positive for THC.
- Exercise of any type should be avoided at least 3 days before the test. When fat cells burn, the stored THC metabolizes into THCA and is released back into the bloodstream, and end up in the bladder after being filtered from the bloodstream by the kidneys. For those 3 days, you want to be as lazy as possible to prevent a bunch of THCA from being released into the bloodstream, which will end up in the urine to be detected.

No guarantee, but I bet you passed.
They will not call and tell you that you passed and you should not ask.
I went through what you went through in June. I am subject to testing now, so I have not smoked since April 26.
All my mental abilities, and my emotions are improved and are under control.
I exercised like a crazy man for several weeks and then took the test. I took home tests for two weeks straight and could see a continuing improvement.
Your solid line, even though it was not the first of the day, was a pretty good indicator of your test results. Although it was not conclusive.
In the future, they may use hair or some other type of test not currently in use to determine drug use.
I bet that you did not give the first urine of the day for your drug test, and so it was probably a solid line for the test at your dad's job.
Do not worry, you passed. That is my prediction. It is not a guarantee, just a hunch based on my experience. I really went into detail on passing a test. So it is an educated hunch, still not a guarantee.
I have decided it is not worth the hassle to worry about passing a test. So, no more until I do not have to work again. More and more jobs are making people take these tests.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no meaning attributed to the intensity of a line. Even synthetic urine controls (which contain no drug metabolites at all) can produce a faint line on an assay.
A faint line is still a line which is a negative.
