Guys:
I am getting tired of my current 30x magnifying glass (see pic). What's the best/better one to get? The focus on this one is tough and the scope/eye piece view is just too small to see anything. Let me know which one is good and you guys like that is just simple to use. I need one that is at least 30x or 40x.
Thanks for any feedback. :)

I've found that the best magnifying glasses come from the least exptected place. Most Dollar stores (not all) sell HUGE magnifying glasses. Great magnification, not a lot of eye straining. You can even use your camera in combination with the magnifier to take great close up pics!

Illuminated Microscope - RadioShack.com (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2179604) This is in store only but they also have some affordable digital scopes too

Get the hand held microscope from Radio Shack for $13. You can see exactly when the trichomes are ready. No mysterious "cloudy" trichs or harvesting early. Wait until you see 10% amber or brown trichs before harvesting.

I got my magnifying glass from my dad who found it at a yard sale and paid 50 cents for it. I've never seen one before, but it's made by Bausch&Lomb. One glass gives 20x and both give around 80x. I can use it to view or take pics with. I just hold the glass against the lens and fire away.
I also have the RadioShack scope that zooms from 30-100x. Great pick-up for only $13.

I have the OP's scope from radio shack as well as the loop. BY FAR THE LOOP WORKS BEST. I bought mine at the hydro store and paid 4 times what it's worth. Fabric stores, coin shops, those places carry them. Mine has a led light on the under side that I never use but wtf..its there in case I need it.
The problem with the scopes is that you have to fix your head in one place and then adjust the lens. Nearly impossible to do when your plants are tall and you are trying to be careful not to damage anything. The loop works exactly opposite in that you fix the loop close to your eye and then move your head to focus. Much faster and more effective I found.
here is what you want: quick if you buy now you can have this one for .99. Too slow, but this is what you want: ebay loop (http://cgi.ebay.com/30-x-21mm-Glass-Magnifying-Magnifier-Jeweler-Loupe-Loop-/280606225833?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41556f35a9)

Thanks guys for the feedback, Prodaytrader just bid the big $1 on that one so will see if I win. I wanted to try a hand held one like that so thanks for the info.
Figured Tiny would like to see my pics of tomato cages, sorry for bad quality pic but my ladies were in dark mode and my flash is not too strong. Tiny my current grow is 1 week behind your current grow. Love the cage idea, helps out on my heavy ones, my first grow I had many that bent over so all good with cage idea, thanks again...
