After breeding 2 lowryder plants. How long after harvest are the seeds ready to use. Is there a waiting period and if how long? thinking about nature there has to be some dormant time for the seeds or they would fall of in fall .and start to germinate in the fall wet season. right?

I just harvested my plants Saturday and lastnight I put a couple in a papertowel and one split open the other has not yet. I would think what keeps them dormant till the next spring is that is just to cold get the juices inside doing what they need to do to germ. I tossed the underdeveloped ones that looked like acrons and the yellowish ones and kept the camo looking ones. Dig a couple out and germ them also becarefull when moving your plants around the seeds well fall out I lost a few not realizing what the hell I was doing.

hey smoke, I think its just a matter of the water being able to break down the outside shell. some guys take a razor blade and score the shell. others do it with other things. I have actually broken the seeds myself after a few days in the towel.

usually takes 4-6 weeks minimum for fresh seeds to 'set'...
