My first harvest ( Colorado )and my smoke is better (stronger)than any I've bought, other med patients say the same thing. I don't believe the strain has any thing to do with it.

Well that's why I started this string.....different opinions:D
I think the grow has more to do with the product.
I believe the same strain grown by two different people won't give the same
product, the way you grow it means a lot:stoned:
I'm sure the Kush I grew isn't much different that the other Kush's I've
bought.

take it from a guy who almost never has more than 1 plant of any strain flowering at any given time (I love variety) - it is all about the strain. of course you CAN fuck up a grow with great genetics, but you can't take a "weak" strain and grow it right and expect it to be more than a weak strain.

This is true. Jesus himself couldn't grow hemp into meds.
OP, congrats. Most growers can't realize the full potential of their genetics. IMO it comes down to doing what's best for the plant, some can communicate with them more clearly than others....

a growers skill will only maximize the genetic potential of a strain, nothing more. what your beginning to realize is that most people dont know how to do that. you will learn better than most if you apply yourself and stay humble. OVERGROW

I agree
That's why I'm confused about why my first harvest was so good, I made plenty of mistakes in the grow and still had above average product.
Maui Wowi will be harvested 12-25-2010 :D
I didn't plan it that way, so Seasons Greetings everyone :rastasmoke:

Every once in a great while, even a blind squirrel finds a nut...
Don't knock a good product you've grown...be happy and grateful...unfortunately, it won't always turn out that good...unless you've inserted a horseshoe somewhere it doesn't belong...shit happens on a daily basis, and the more you push the envelope, the more can go wrong. :wtf:
The good news is, you have some success to point to after the inevitable fail.
Congrats on the success!

push the envelope? Maybe there's the problem, I don't use a fire hose where
a enema bag should be used. My tea's are mild not even midland

this is Maui the first of two plants, should be done Christmas day
you can see what a little CO2 can do compared to the kush above.
We'll see if this is also above average:hippy:

i think youll find that when you gyo(grow you own) you tend to be more patient. the time you spend on your plants is more fulfilling and rewarding i quality, appearance, flavor and aroma. the agenda becomes different when you add $$$$$. see how profit fucks everything it comes into contact with, up. i need ten pounds this week off of three plants or your ass will be standing in the unemployment line with mcdaniels. well this is not good growing practice and it will certainly disappoint customers when you place quantity over quality. looks like youll spend a couple hours harvestig christmas morning:D better get :stoned:

each to their own what matters is the end result. i think personal preference can make a big difference especially in the beginning stages of learning. branch out from there and your plants will too.
