Making medicine is so much more complicated than planting other things? I wanted to start growing hydro medicine but it seems so confusing. I thought it was just plant and light and a few months later you're healing, but after reading a bunch of posts, I think I'd be over my head.

It only appears complicated because its new to you.
I suggest you start out with a soil grow first, instead of jumping into hydro. That way you can learn the basics. Even if you were to grow tomatoes indoors for example, you would still want the right soil, the right light, and the right nutrients. This forum is the best place to read, and learn what ya need to know.

Thanks. I'm taking ag right now so I know the importance of good soil. The reason why I thought of hydro was because i saw that it made more sooner.
So would getting a 600w light. A planting box. And seeds be good to start? I am getting confused when it talks about cloning and switching them out during stages and all that good stuff. Haha.

Your on the right track ganjalarry, but you can leave the cloning for later, once you get your feet wet.
Changing the lighting during the vegetative and flowering cycles is actually easy to understand once you get familiar with the certain strain that your interested in buying seeds of.

I shy away from hydro because it is delicate, expensive, and locks plants in one spot.

Potted allows moving around to benefit air circulation...such as closer to the fan or further away from the light...put the shortest the closest to the light and stuff like that.

Mostly tho I fear goofing up the concentrations. It doesn't take that much soil to grow for yourself.

 thanks for the encouraging words. I know of a medicine man in Chicago that can get seeds. But I have no clue when he'll be back. I did have a dream though last night in which I grew enough to cure the world. But then I woke up, it messed have been a vision.

Likely the only way to "cure the world"...is to cull the bacterial infection called "humans".

I much prefer the simplicity of soil. With hydro, too many moving parts that break or quit at the worst possible time.

Learn to grow, then learn how to maximize your grow.
