If I suspect my girls may have been pollinated within the last day or so and the seeds are just beginning to develop, is there any way to 'abort' these beginning seeds?

Nope. What makes you think they were pollinated?

I discovered a few immature bananas on a clone crop that had herm'd the previous season. We thought the prior herming happened due to light leaks that we know occurred but it turns out we will just be dumping the strain after this one due to weak genetics. I think I've caught it early enough and though I was reluctant because they're in to week 7 I hit them with Reverse + Saturator. I'm reluctant to take bananas off as I see them because all this pollen shit is so fragile I don't want to risk further contamination. I'm hoping the reverse will do its job and sterilize any existing nanners so they can be removed in a couple days.
I'm not about to drench my roots in ice water guys but can anyone recommend anything for the abortion of seeds? I've heard a light ice water foliar spray to the suspected sites could do the trick? Does reverse claim to halt seed growth as well as the maturation of male flowers?

Personally...I'd use this as a learning experience, and let her finish what she started. Shocking the roots with ice water is a great way to further your problems. I grow in an outdoor shed, and keeping the roots warm enough not to stress the ladies is a nightly concern, as cold roots stunt the plant.
If pollen sacks are still closed, pluck 'em when you see 'em. The pollen has to be viable (mature) to pollinate. If they're already opened, you'll get more seeds. Not a tough choice, IMHO. Especially if Reverse is being used. I've never used it, but have heard it does the job. I believe the Reverse returns the plant to the pre-stress growth. But if it's a weak strain and extremely prone to hermaphrodism, nothing will help.
Have you broken-down a small bud and checked to see how bad the pollination is? Might just be a few seeds per bud, might be 50. If only a few, no big deal.

Hello jmo124,
Rusty just gave you some good advice, pluck them suckers.
I've used reverse, but mostly as a preventive, usually abt 1 week into flower and the again 10 days later. BUT the label says, or at the first sign of trouble and again in ten days.
So if this is your first sign of trouble then use it now and again in 10 days, but I would hold off if I was real close to finish.
But pluck them.
Good luck,
OM
