should jeter have tested the market and possibly and get what he thinks he is worth? Or do you think he did the right thing by continuing his legacy in ny? Do you think the lebron fiasco have something to do with why jeter stayed? What do you think, and what do you think about his new contract?

No one else would have picked up Jeter. At this point the Yankees were thinking more about ticket sales and less about the actual talent. Yes, he's great, but he is really on the ass end of his career now. He's getting up there in baseball years, and doesn't have the skill to back up the paycheck anymore.

With as much as he wanted, there is not a single team out there that would have picked him up.
