i have to write a paper for an english class and i was just wondering if any of you guys may have a good suggestion. and i'm not looking for someone to give me a link to google or tell me to do it myself. i will be putting a lot of time into this, and i just wanted to see if anyone here had useful input.

i plan to write about personal rights and the drug war. i just need to find a good primary text source, and 4 or more other complementary sources for my paper. so here's the question: Does anyone know of a scholarly source/paper/journal/movie/speech/song, etc (any tangible source of text pretty much) that relates to my topic?

again... i only want serious replies. i do have ideas of my own, and am just seeing if anyone knows something i don't. so... any ideas?

Here's a quote you can use from Abraham Lincoln during December of 1848

"Prohibition... goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."
