Hello once again my green buds^^, its week 2 on "Adventures of juicy fruit and screwy".......so the last week i had a really bad ph or magnesium def on juicy cause every leaf's tip was pointing down, so i instantly transplanted into to a 5 gallon bucket with this new soil i had got, and now within in 6 hours of the transplant shes already doing way better and doesn't seem to be in shock at all but im sure she is. Poor little screwy is allll kinds of screwy but for some reason....i go to smell her and she smells ungodly delicious right off the bat^^! and juicy doesn't smell like anything at all :/ witch is weird but she will soon. .... so I hope my juicy fruit looks healthy and please let me know if shes not : ),.....i already know that screwy looks really screwy lol but ima still give her a chance. See you guys next week on the "Adventures of juicy fruit and screwy"!!!

Juicy looks over watered, and a seedling in a 5 gallon? thats WAY too much dirt!!!!!!
Her root ball is about the size of a base ball, and it's in a soggy beach ball,... think about that for a minuet.
As for screwy its called varigated growth or some shit like that,... the plant will never outgrow it, it's a genetic thing. I culled my varigated Vanilluna seedling, but after reading a thread I dug up I'm kinda regretting doing that.
Seems as tho it's just a leaf structure issue, tho I haven't found (nor diligently searched for) any info on flowering a varigated plant.
Good luck, and I'm looking forward to the next update! :hippy:

Thanx for replying canniwhatsis^^ ....... So ive actually only been watering every 3 days or more without nutes so idk about that, and i messed up and said 5 gallon,....but its a 4 gallon, am i screwd or something?? :/ anyway the pic of juicy i last put up was yesterday, so these are from today 10 minutes before shut off time, I love seeing those little grow shoots=) .....Should i Let screwy grow and possible bud? or call her TO screwy and get rid of her now? Its tough for me cause when i hold her close,.....she smells sooooo good,......reminds me of an ex i had once,.... but i had to get rid of that so idk lol

Again, most recent pics look overwatered.
The problem isn't weather it's a 4 or 5 gallon bucket,... you have a seedling.
That seedling should be 4-6" tall before even considering taking it out of a 4"x4" square (.5L) pot. :o It's basically impossible to control inbound water, nutes, and PH with such a small and weak root structure in so much dirt.
Are you Screwed? No, but you need to keep a close read on your plant, she will be easy to over water, which can cause the surrounding soil to rot and deteriorate. Then when she grows roots out there it's not good for her any more. :(
As for Screwy, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with a varigated plant. So the choice is up to you, grow it out and possibly get a good happy harvest, or cull it.

Hey guys, its time for week 3 of " Adventures of juicy fruit and screwy"!!!! So things have been going really good, their haven't been any sighns of anything bad except for a few spider might enemies that i hope the 2 lady's will battle with ease. Juicy is looking (as far as i know) pretty damn good and shes making alot! of nodes for cloning so hopefully a good mother she will be. Screwy is actually doing good because the new growth shooting out is looking like good green leaves with a short fat stock with weird looking nodes,.... they almost look like the sporadic leaves on a budding plant.... hmm idk we will see what happens^^
Ive decided that flouros and cfl just isnt going to be enough so im getting this for flower 250W HPS GROW LIGHT SYSTEM SUNKAN HYDROPONIC * NEW * L-HPS-250WC 250 Watts - eBay (item 180595101647 end time Dec-11-10 11:12:11 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/250W-HPS-GROW-LIGHT-SYSTEM-SUNKAN-HYDROPONIC-NEW-/180595101647?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item6fc2f76471) please let me know if this will be good enough for about 2 plants A flower cycle.
The first pic is my juicy from the top with the fan leaves tied to the side for more light to the nodes. and the 2nd is just a good pic of allll my lil girlies waiting to be a bush. SO last but not least is screwy, im still going to hold on to her cause the new growth just looks sooo much better then the old crinkle leaves, and the smell on her is still intoxicating. Let me know how their lookin, see you guys next week:thumbsup:

For 2 really small plants, sure the 250 will suffice.
Here's where I started. ;)
Amazon.com: 400 Watt Electronic Switchable Ballast Hydroponic Grow Lamp System with Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium HPS Light Bulbs, Cord + Hanger, GYO2002: Patio, Lawn & Garden (http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Switchable-Hydroponic-Pressure-GYO2002/dp/B002J7PYSU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1291785907&sr=8-1)
The bulbs that come in that package work, and work fine, but compared to name brand bulbs, well kinda suck. :(
I'm still running the reflector and ballast, but am now running a Hortilux "Blue" MH light over my vege area, and have picked up a sunsystems hood/ballast combo for flower with a plant max bulb.
I digress tho, for just a few dollars more, and no bidding you can get higher yields and flower more room with proper ventilation to control heat. :rastasmoke:
I can tell you from personal experience, you can pull 2+ oz per plant under a 400w HPS, and it'll do more than just one at a time! ;)
This thread was all under 400w HPS :hippy:
