One of the most common plants that take similar nutrients etc are tomatoes.

worried isn't the word... I'm super paranoid i don't like to pay for anything with anything other then cash money. :stoned: does tomatoes and peppers have a veg and flower stage? like 65k and 27K? this is my first grow so im kinda a little extra paranoid!!

If you are going to a grow shop geared towards our king of hobby then no one should be asking you any questions. If they do, tell them you are tired of paying nursery prices for your annuals and perennials. Rattle off a few - impatience, periwinkle, begonias, etc. You can throw in that your wife/husband grows orchids...

Also, if you are looking for a seed source that accepts cash I recommend seed boutique. I'm equally paranoid. They have a pay cash option that I've used a number of times without incident. Very reliable.

Second on the boutique. As far as spouse grows orchids..... I suggest you say wants to try too grow orchids. Orchids take a more humid environment and are very, very hard to grow indoors. That is a door to specialty ferts and grow systems.

The teaching here when I first got my license in this state, was too use tomatoes as the reference plant if you must. Visit various smaller specialty farm, indoor plant, and do an internet search for dealers of lights..... in your city. Horticulture is one of the key words.

You can tell when you get in there this is the right store, they will have all the specialty fertiilizers, lights on display, water systems, drip irrigation, and more. You CAN tell. Conversations are vague in that type of store and you might see something posted about if you ask about marijuana you will be escorted out of the store.....

Nice pic zztops!

Last pepper crop I had was 2 pound of jalapenos and half a pound of santiago f1s. Made some wicked breakfast burritos with them!

I want to try growing ghost chilis. Spicey as hell itself!

You're talkin bout the same place I go right? LOL

You just described it perfectly.

And the owner actually asked my wife to leave once, he didn't realize we we're together and she was on the other side of the store asking bout lights. I never take her in there with me now.

She hates it :D

its funny

LOL

i dont know i have horrible luck with places like that. there's a shop nearby that keeps getting their balls busted about sell glass pieces and im getting real sick of everyone coming around with new pieces telling me they got it from there cause every time i go in there i ask artistic tobacco pipes: he says no: how about glass pieces: he says no: a bubbler: he say no. I havent gone in there for a while cause mother fffed him the last time cause my buddy said he had a bad ass bubbler there an hour ago. I know its probably my preppy clean cut military persona that just screams cop; but it really pisses me off!

Ya prob.

I have an bud that was in the service for 8 years, he had the whole clean cut army look and when we were together a local store clerk would never show us the out of view items but when I was alone he'd have no prob w/ it.
