Top Leading Actors

In my definition of 'Leading Actor', I'm thinking of those actors that ad weight to a movie. As an example, and my first suggestion, Jack Nicolson for his role in "A Few Good Men".

Who do you suggest as a top casting?
And/Or, who is just such a beast as to be valuable in any movie?

A few of mine:

Jack Nicolson - he could prop up any movie :pimp:
Gene Hackman - a huge star, even now
Judy Dench - I think she made Daniel Craig beliveable as 007

For cheesy B movies, Bruce Campbell is king. Anybody else delivering his lines would be awful, but he gets 'em off with style and flare. (at least that's what she said)

Morgan Freeman.
Jessica Lang.
Denzel Washington. After one of his movies, I usually need a nap or a couple of rips . . . or both.
Walter Matthau.
