i have now learned days away from harvesting that i have hermaphrodite in my flower room; big buds with a bunch of seed pods (i cant believe i didn't notice all these seeds earlier).

Not seeing the signs when it happened i believe since i never experienced this before. It is the first time I am flowering this breed. I obtained it as a mother plant and made clones from it. The person i received it from says it never happened to him. After reading some posts of people with the same issue, it seems that it happened by some sort of stress. I did have a stint of over 90degree temps and very high humidity in the 5th week of flowering and since fixed the challenge. i have to decide what i am going to do ( hopefully with advise from you experienced growers)

How the rooms are set up:: A door leads into walk into a grow room and from there i have a door into the flower room. Everyday when the flower room door opens (flower room lights are on of course) Air transfers from room to room hence pollen is almost definitely in my veg room. The plants that are vegging are ready to go into the flower cycle.

I do NOT want to grow another room full of hermaphrodites.

Questions;;
Is there any chance of these vegging plants not
turning into hermaphrodite?

Do they /can they/ will they be pollinated and
turn into hermaphrodite in the veg cycle?

In the veg cycle, Is there a way to tell if ladies have been
pollinated and will seed when they flower?

Also
I transferred the mom and little vegging ladies to a totally different location from
the grow room i mentioned above 3 weeks ago (miles away). I'm not sure when my flower room turned to hermaphrodite so i guess there is a chance those were pollinated before i moved them out?

Advise is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Iv seen lots of plants in those types of temps and no Hermie's, plus high humidity. Im not saying this didn't stress them and Hermie the plant. But........

If pollen is on your plants, just wet them down as when pollen gets wet its gone. So clean your flower room with a wet towel real well and i think your good. But is your veg lights getting into your flower room when they are in their dark cycle? This will hermy your plants up good, if light interrupts a flowering plant to much it will hermy fast, the porch light got mine and didn't know till id smoked it all:wtf:. Lots of seeds every place too. Just wanted to let ya know that dark period getting light will hermy up good man. You could get pollen from it and pollinate a bud for femed seeds. But yeah man, wash your room with soap and water and you should be good and if ya find a seed it would be femed:thumbsup:

For sure, just wash down flower area with soap/water

Not if you clean well.

If they have no flowers and you spry them down with water and if pollen is there it will not be effective:jointsmile:

Go check them out to see if ya got some seeds in the clones you put out there, why not. They are your stock and will be feminized by the hermy gives ya femed seeds for your next run.

Just make sure you clean your flower room good as it only takes a tiny piece of pollen to seed your plant:thumbsup:

Good luck:rasta:

Hello shemalehelp,

You just got a great answer from LetsSeeYa, but let me add one thing.

It's true simple water will make the pollen inert, but if you are going to clean the flower room anyway, I would suggest using a mild bleach solution.
Same amount of work, plus you might wipe out any pathogens, along with the pollen.

sorry but i have the same stupid thing happen can anyone give me advice in either ripp everything out which means i cant pay bills for 4 months or try and work with whats left and my veg plants.
Please HELP anyone who has experience dealing with Hermi’s turning multiply Rooms in you Grow OP

Ok I’ve been growing for 3 years and when I first started I had a strain they would always go hermi in the last 3 weeks of flower and this strain never pollinated my room or the plants beside them. I killed that strain and have been growing with the same strains for 8 months now and have had amazing results.
I have 4 different areas in my basement, which is a big rectangle with bunch of rooms. All my clones are under a counter in one room, my veg and mom room are beside this room in the on one side of the basement with The last 2 rooms on the other side of the basement are my flower rooms where have 4 1000 in each with movers. I have to walk through one flower room to get to the other flower room which is the room and that’s where I noticed all my plants having seeds Monday night.
I went away for 3 days and when I got back Monday the plants under 3 of my lights in the back room were covered in seeds. The plants were from week’s 3 to 6. Now under the 4th light I had plants in week 2 and they all looked perfect. But tonight I noticed the bottom buds of the plants starting to turn male, and I just sprayed every plant in my house with reverse for DM.
As for the front flower room all my strains but one were starting to convert some and the ones that weren’t are all the same strain. I also had some in week 1 that look fine so far.
My question is what the chances of all the plants in flower turning even the ones that look fine still today, and what about my veg room that is about 4 feet in the opposite side of the basement and my clones. My veg and flower intake and exhaust air from different sources would this help?
Why hasn’t the one strain started seeding? There buds are still growing too.

It depends where you are in flower when the pollen is released. If they appear during the last three weeks then no problem. There is not enough time for the seeds to develop. Same goes for the 1st week as the buds have not yet developed enough to accept the pollen so long as your remediate before they reach maturity. Those that are ~ 5 - 7 weeks from maturity will likely be lost. Pollen remains viable for months and can linger in environment. So it really depends on your timing and steps you take to get rid of the pollen. Harvest as soon as you can, remove the offending plants now, spray down any plants that are early in flower, clean the room. Your clones and mothers should be fine but you can spray them down too and clean their rooms to be safe.

Time for new genes and a room cleaning. It sucks, but its a must unless you want to fight these problems constantly.
sea of green is a really problematic method. I wish you the best.
