I'm really hoping to make it to a convention. I've never been to one but I got some friends who went to last year's and said it was great. It would definitely be a great way to celebrate ending my first semester at Front Range. Will the tickets sell fast?

no. lol
you'll be able to get them there. likely a discount for picking them up early.
I hope they have more for growers.
I thought it was kinda disappointing.

I'm 99% sure we won't be attending. These trade shows seem to be geared more at selling things to centers and growers.
Maybe we'll take the couple grand from the booth and throw a party where patients can medicate.

it would be swell if there were events where you could medicate without having to sneak around near the venue.

everyone already has their patients / plant counts figured out.
What's in it for dispensaries if they can't dispense?
I really would like to see some kick ass growing / processing demos + setups.
NOT TO MENTION-
Nute Manufacturers (I would like to meet reps from Advanced, Bio-Buzz, House and Garden, GH, Canna)
Light / LED maufacturers - I'd love to talk to an LED expert
Grow Shops
Grow Bags
different styles of growing demos w/products (aero / hydro w/hydrontin, rockwool, coco, sunshine, soil)

not sure if true, but I heard at the HTG grow store today that Santana will be playing...this would be way cool if this is true. Also heard that they might be selling meds at this one but knowing Denver this might be false, but who knows...

I believe it's only the singer from Santana...
Hoping there will be more grow-oriented stuff, especially the nutrient companies as already mentioned.

Maybe you can get Rancid instead...
Santana woulda been cool about 35 years ago when he was good  It's kinda like the Stones, wish they'd just throw in the towel..

Like on that episode of Weeds? LoL That would be awesome. Too bad that part of 1284 didn't get rejected. I am looking to grow in the near future but right now I have a 'grow clause' in my lease...isn't that something? Anyways, thanks for the heads up about what it's target market is. I may just wait until one comes around geared toward the connoisseur patient. I just got here in May so I missed some good events in the Spring but I'll be around this time. I love how Colorado embraces MMJ. It really makes you appreciate it coming from a state that is one of the harshest when it comes to marijuana in general.

Screw those rip-off bastards, especially Advanced and H&G! I would rather meet Scott's Osmocote Pro territory manager or product developer. Those aforementioned act as if they have MJ's best interests at heart but I've realized they are just in it for the money. Can't say that about GH - guess that's why those who have been spending tons of hard-earned cash on Advanced and H&G, when they try GH, quickly realize they have been getting screwed. I'm running soil now, though heavily mixed with perlite. Been using Osmocote with micronutes (could find Osmocote Plus locally which already has micronutes added) - best & easiest grows yet. But if I could get my hands on Osmocote Pro 3-4 month 17-5-11 - That's the golden (or in this case emerald) ticket!

yea, yea, I know
If I'm going to be there, I want to hear the pitch from the top players.
not familiar w/Osmocote. I would be interested in talking to every nute rep there. ALWAYS something to learn, even from the devil!

ha ha thanks for that high pop, i love it. the california folks are running this and probably spreading the rumor of santana to get crowds in. why don't all of us on the colorado forum get together and have our own festival. i've got 7 acres west of castle rock, have it next summer and really form our coalition. My bro has a jazz project called The 420 Cafe - nu chill jazz great med music. I'll get them to play and we'll do it just the way we want with everyone having input as to what it will be. what do you think? Man that finger hash can get a man motivated!

The first Kush con was a mess. Michael Lerner spent most of the time I was there talking on the pa system that was so loud that it was difficult to talk to someone standing right next to you. Due to the legal mess surrounding the event there were not enough entertainers and Lerner filled the time himself and it was a disaster. I heard that they are not going to position those speakers around the booths this time - which will help. Let's hope they keep Lerner off of the stage entirely.
They are not giving out enough free passes for booth workers and now I am looking for discount tickets for staff. Nice. Any suggestions??

Sorry for the rant but I'm just sick of these nute companies screwing people out of their money.
Feelin' much better now!

maybe tell them you write a blog and need a press pass.
KushCon is definitely NOT what we need right now, especially before the state legislature meets in January.
Kush has done nothing but pad their wallets off of patients and mmcs. What have they done for you or your patients besides give bad press? They are right up there with Westword for taking your money.

Absolutely, need to be putting our best out there, not reinforcing stereotypes. So long as we act like Spicoli, we'll be treated as Spicoli.
