Okay,
So after several months of dealing with my personal grow being at a different location I said screw it, and am getting my own setup.
Bear with me, cause I've never done a grow log before, let alone a grow like this haha.
The room in question is 7'10" Long x 3'6" wide x 7'7" high.
I'm running a 600wat HPS light.
I have a feeling that someone had this setup before, it couldn't be any more perfect. it has an interior power plug, with it's own 15amp breaker. There are two vents directly to the outside. 4" holes, with holes drilled through the foundation to the outside. I'm planning on using one for intake, one for exhaust.
I think I am going to have a problem with airflow... not in not enough, but in too much. I mickey moused an inline 6" duct fan to a home-made carbon filter. The fan itself though is something like 220cfm... way too much. I tried to wire it to a dimmer, hoping I could "dial down" the fan, but no such luck. We'll have to see how it works out I guess.
I used Poly on the magority of the room, it's kinda micky moused cause I didn't have quite enough. I got some more though and will be finishing it over the next few days.
The plants are BC Sweet tooth, the mother was grown from seed and these are 2nd gen clones. They've been vegging way too long so they are hoooooooj, but hopefully will get me a nice yield. THe first plant of this strain we budded off we got just over 8 ounces. They're spindly stretchy lookin things though haha.
Sorry about the crummy pics. Hubby will have to take better ones, he's way better with the manual settings on the rebel lol. Me I just point and shoot!!
If anyone has any advice on trimming these girls, that would be great. This is my first grow! I'm lookin forward to these plants. This sweet tooth is the first strain we've tried that my fiance can actually smoke without really bad anxiety. Everyone that's tried it loves it.

Ok, so this is the left side of the room. You can see the plastic ducting I used from the fresh air intake to bring the fresh air down to the bottom of the room. Just on the left hand side of the picture just out of the shot I have a small osscillating fan to provide airflow. THere are two shelves on that side, on the bottom one (behind the poly) is my power outlets, ballast, timer, etc etc.

In this pic you can see my homemade carbon filter. THere is a inline duct fan directly after it that's sucking air in through the filter and blowing it outside. It's not working worth a shit, my laundry room stinks, and these girls aren't even budding yet. I'm so screwed. I think part of my problem is the fan is too powerful. It's rated at 180CFM (I think?) I tried wiring it to a dimmer switch to "dial down" the power but nope, didn't work... Dunno what I'mg oing to do I'm out of money. Maybe just lock my door and not let anyone in for the next two months...

Girls 1 and 2. they are BIG... I need to cut them back... Waiting for the stress of transporting them to settle though. Suprisingly for all the trauma in the last 24 hours they're looking good, not real wilty and not looking really stressed.
Any tips, tricks or pointers on pruning these things?? they're already almost up to my light and not even kicked over yet...

Girls two and three from outside the door. Dunno if this gives you some perspective on how big they are. They barely fit in the back of my van, they were bent over like a bunch of giants in a midget house, I'm suprised they made the trip intact!!
So please feel free to throw shout outs, tips, tricks, suggestions!!
Oh I'm using Advanced Nutrients three part (micro, bloom grow) with big bud.

Okay... well today had some interesting issues.
First of all, after talking with several people I decided the best way to tame my monster girls would be to take the "path of least resistance" so to speak haha.
I tied them, bent them double as far as their poor little backs would take it, and tied them to their pots! Did that last night just after my lights came on and I'm so amazed at the difference already! THey're lookin really good, no wilting, browing, discolouration or any of that other junk, so I'm going to flip them 12/12 starting tonight.
Still having temperature issues. It's hitting 99 degrees in there when the lights are on, so my first task of the morning was to find another fan. Got another 6" inline fan to put on my intake... then realized I didn't have the proper collar to attach it.... duh... Everythings all wired and good to go though, I might mickey mouse it with some flexi duct I have lyin around and just hang it from the ceiling.
Oh... and we lost power this morning, I have no idea for how long :( We have the worst winter storm here I've seen in alot of years. It's only -10 or so, but with the windchill it feels somewhere around -25. we've got 60mph gusts of wind and power lines are down all over the city. it's blowing snow verticle out there and it's NASTY.... I almost just wanna go hide in the garden cause it's toasty warm!!
Tonight is feeding day so will update tonight with new pics once the girls are fed and watered and my new fan is up :)
Wish me luck!!

Okay...
I apologize for the big pictures, my thumbnail postings aren't workin for some reason.
So, My girls are all tied up :p They seem to be okay with it, but I have some Nitrogen problems I think. THey've only been watered in the last few days and it's probably been a week since they got any nutes. Hubby forgot to get their records when we brought them home and buddy is on vacation so I can't ask.
THey were fed tonight though. Advanced nutrients grow-micro-bloom three part week 1 according to their old online schedule.
Here's piccies

Here you can se that I managed to get some room between the girls and the light. Only time will tell if it's enough. If need be near the end I can bring them down to floor level. I'm not going to tie them anymore at this point, I'm just gonna let em be, lots of light, food and water.

http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af154/katsgrowroom/Picture020Large.jpg
Here you can see some leaf yellowing. THis is brand new, defenitely wasn't like this last night. Hopefully the three part feed will fix em up over the next few days. I am gonna post these over in the "help" section too just to make sure i'm not way out in left field, but I'm pretty sure it's an N deficiency after looking at pics.
http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af154/katsgrowroom/Picture021Large.jpg
Here you can see some slight curling in of a few leaves too... Not sure what that's all about.
All in all despite the few little problems I'm feeling pretty good about it. At least, I'm feeling like alot of the hard work is done now, temps are under control in the mid 80's with lights on, lows 70's with lights off.
Still having some timer problems... not sure what's up with that, something keeps shorting it out, I think it's my intake fan. Switched that around tonight so we'll see if I have to turn the lights off manually again tonight.

WOW! that was a severe topping!
It shouldn't surprise you that your plants are a little stressed after that! ;)
The yellowing looks like a PH lock out, but the curling looks like PH/heat,.... and your temps are good,..... what's your PH?

Hehe, I didn't cut them!!
I tied them down :D
Just sorta bent em over and tied them to their pots....
I didn't wanna hurt them, and someone told me that was probably the least stressfull way of gaining some room.
PH is good, well, I have REALLY alkaline water, like 8.5, but we adjust it to 6.5 before giving them anything.

I bent one this summer like that and it grow ok, but it cam from outside, which gave my room mites:(. Im letting the no pest strip do its thing now to kill them. Do you have any discoloring in the veins of your leaves? I have a sick one myself and my cloner just got here yesterday and i want to use it, but gotta fix the plant first. But it just keeps getting bigger.?
Good luck:rasta:

None on the veins, a few leaves going yellowish. I was talking wih hubby this morning and I guess the first night they came he was being "helpful" and gave them some water... but didn't check the PH. Doh... So I could very well have some lockout going on. Hopefully it'll resolve itself now with properly PH'd water and nutes.
You know you're obssessive about growing when you're having nightmares about your grow room O.o
I had two different dreams last night, one that the room caught on fire and burned everything down, and I was trying to put it out with a plastic cup of water but none of the taps in the house would work....
THe second was I got mites... I'm terrified of spiders, and spider mites give me the heeby jeebies... I saw a grow once that had been neglected and they were COATED in webs and grossness... So yucky. I threatened my husband if I see one single bug I'm gonna toast the whole lot, I HATE bugs...

Well not really too much to update.
Plants are looking fabulous, TONS of flowering sites on them I can't wait to see what they finish out at. Having some smell issues, really gotta get around to finishing sealing up that room. Hard running around after two kids and a fiance LOL.
No more curling, and no more yellowing. Seem to be getting a good groove.
THey seem to take about 2-3 days to dry out after a good soak, so they get water, left till dry, then feed. I'm using Advanced nutrients three part, micro, bloom, grow with big bud starting this week.
When the lights come on tonight I'll see if I can get some more pics. I've still been tying them down like a mad woman to control the stretch and it seems to be working with minimal signs of stress to the plant. We've got some clones of these coming up and I'm lookin forward to trying a SCROG setup next go around.
I love this strain!

Okay so everything is hunky dory :)
I have some yellowing starting on the bigger leaves, but considering where we are in flowering I think it's normal?
