I'm going to post a couple pics. out of 4 plants, three were very obviously, to me male, by the copious amount of balls forming. This one though does not have the obvious male parts, but lacks pistils as far as I can tell and maybe it is too soon to tell. Its been roughly about 14 days since the plant was switched to 12/12.

Ya too early...

If you had 3/4 males by now, chances are this one will be female. The males tend to develop quicker in flower.

no how can you tell when your looking for a female. I thought the only way to tell what a male plant looks like is by looking for balls instead of bud sprouts

Pre-flowers are an indication but it's iffy at best.

Boys grow balls

Girls grow pistols (whiteish hair-like things)

But the pistils grow out of calyx, which could be confused as a ball to most new growers, right? Thats why ive read that if you see a preflower and think it could be male, you can wait about a week to tell what the sex definitely is. Thats what the med mj growers bible by jorge cervantes says, at least.
