Time to get busy and get those cannabis-related industries up and running. I'm very interested in how this will effect the Arizona economy. Take for instance, the number of contractors that will be contacted to build grow rooms. All these tangent businesses will profit immensely.
Good job voters of ARIZONA!
Let's show them what compassionate cannabis is all about. Let's become the model state that takes this into new realms of possibility.

Not to insult any Arizonians here, but from my few times through there it is a pretty conservative place. If it can happen there it can happen pretty in much any state.

Yay for Arizona!
I'm really glad this passed. Don't come at me with the pitchforks - especially here - but I don't smoke it, and only have infrequently over the years. I am, however, a huge proponent of legalizing it across the board. I'm in central Az, and would like to get together with others around here to help promote The Cause because it's a worthy one.
Peace. :rastasmoke:

It will eventually. Won't it be nice when the residents of planet Earth finally get off their knees, grow up and move out of the dark ages!

At least in the dark ages you wouldn't get hassled for a little blaze! They need to end the entire drug war!!! Did you know that cannabis became illegal for racist and capitol reasons. It is all because of Andrew Mellon, Randolph Hearst, and the Du Pont family wanting to make large capitol gains, because hemp was to cheep of a competitor. This stupid "drug war" is a war on poverty. Not once has the use of drugs stopped nor will it ever and yet we spend trillions in tax dollars on it and our deficit keeps rising. There is a way to cut spending for the new Republican Congress in 2011= end the war on drugs!:angry3:

Really was dissapointed when I thought this wasnt going to pass. But those provisional ballots really turned it around!
Anyone know the official symptoms that AZ doctors can prescribe medicinal marijuana to a patient? Or which could possibly be added.
I suffer from PTSD, and a little anxiety and depression. Currently prescribed pills that dont agree with my stomach at all. Was hoping in the next year I could do something that could help LEGALLY.

From what I have read its not a very big list. it would appear that they are going to really try to restrict it. I hear and read alot about the law makers not wanting our laws anything like more leniant(sp) state Ie. california, montana, or colorado. Just what I have heard.... here is a list of possible ailments to be considered.
Agitation of Alzheimer's Disease
Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis
Cancer
Crohn's Disease
Glaucoma
Hepatitis C
HIV/AIDS
Nail Patella
Cachexia or Wasting Syndrome
Severe Nausea
Severe & Chronic Pain
Seizures
Severe/Persistent Muscle Spasms
I have also read that they wont even be accepting applications until april 11'. Speculation at this point.

Who is to say what constitutes "severe" pain? It's a VERY subjective term.;) Nausea and severe muscle spasms aren't that uncommon either.

No not at all. But you will have to prove medical history of the particular ailment that you are claiming. also in reference to sever pain being subjective, well i would imagine they will difine it pretty well. I mean it is lawyers and politicians writing the laws anyways. the very people who have fought to keep this illegal. Just my opinion on the matter.
We need strong qualified people to help us through the potentially rocky stages ahead. No offense but the hippies and punk stoners chanting free the weed or what ever will not get us anyway.
I appoligise for my rant

An example of severe pain is long-term trauma damage that is debilitating, like if one were in an auto accident. Or the severe pain that goes along with deep nerve agitation, like compressed discs in the spine. "Severe" pain is the result of a medical condition, not just a subjective matter.
Personally, I've seen what cannabis can do for people who have legitimate needs. Perhaps before the typical stoner decides to scheme or commit fraud to get a card, they should consider those who actually need this service for pain relief, not just to slam down beers and get high.
