The Denver metro has the biggest selection of pot. It also has the most crime, the most pollution and the most economic opportunity. If you don't have a job, start in Denver. If you don't need a job, start in Aspen or T-ride.

Bcguy, Check out Delta9 for some real funk. Get some Bruce Banner that won the Colorado Caregivers Cannabis cup a while back and pick up a clone of it while you're at it. You wont be dissapointed.

It is true Denver has the most crime compared to the other areas of the state but in comparison to other states - Denver's crime rate is still very low. But that's coming from someone who lived in New York in the 70's, DC in the 80's and Baltimore in the 90's - each time during that particular city's worst crime rates. When I came to Denver, everyone told me to avoid Colfax, especially the North Aurora part. First thing I did, drive my happy-go-lucky ass over there. Just a bunch of kids hanging out being bored and working class folks, didn't see a single mugging/hold-up, didn't see anyone stealing cars in the middle of the day, no drive-by shootings.

I bet Colorado is a piece of cake compared to where you've been. I had a friend back home live in Aurora for a few years before moving back to Indiana. She told me I would hate it out here and I'd be back. Well I'm staying in Colorado. I would like to get out of Boulder and live somewhere not so expensive but still have a view of the flatirons (we didn't have mountains in IN so I'm still in awe!).

To the OP...
If you're talking MMJ, any town in Boulder County has some pretty good herb. I haven't ventured past Nederland but they have a few good shops. There are a few places in Boulder that are good. 14er Holistics has some pretty good herb and the house strains are $42 an eighth and its very good medicine. Apparently you can't get clones in Boulder city limits but a few places still offer them. I've heard there are a few places that have opened up in the past couple months and their prices are just as good or better. Terrapin Station (I really like the name) has some good Headband and it's only $35 an eighth. I want to make it to Denver and Fort Collins when I get some spare money and I can find some new places and strains.

Even parts of Indiana are more dangerous than here in Denver/Aurora.
I remember my 1st apartment, it was in DC. Little shithole studio smaller than my master bedroom now. First thing I did, walk to the street corner where the local drug dealer was hanging out. Pointed out my car, said if anyone fucks with it - I'm calling the cops. Told him I don't care how he makes his money, just make sure his customers are f*cking with the neighborhood. A few weeks go by, I walk out to my car one night and I see the dealer beating the crap outta this bum. Apparently the bum was trying to break into my car. Dealer asked if I wanted a few kicks, told him he seemed to have everything under control... Ever seen the show "The Wire" - I lived two blocks from that complex in B-more. I have some crazy stories of B-more from back in the 90's when the crack was everywhere! Hell I got hit by a ricochet bullet inside a DC nightclub (chicks dig the scar!...hahaha!)

So yeah, Colorado is cake. I've told my friends that still live out East about how low the crime rate is here & how cheap housing is. Yes there's still crime out here, but it's not as rampant as people make it out. Denver is such a small city. What a population of barely over a mil. That's not really that much.

In short - if you find your self in a undesirable area of Denver, just don't act like a pu55y ... or else you're going to get fuck3d like a pu55y. :smokin:

quite funny DC and Balmer stories. I came of age in suburban maryland and ran the streets of DC and B-town as a shithead punk rocker in the early 80's.
I don't even consider Denver a real city....... but I guess thats not for me to judge, I live in the mountains and was just yesterday was told a story by one of my local customer about being hit in the head by one of his neighbors with a hammer. Like my dad said "don't start no shit and there won't be no shit."

Trouble is everywhere, if your involved with pot just avoid the hot spots for crime.

I also lived in Silver Spring & Rockville during the early 80's. Where in sub MD did you live? Go to the 9:30 club back then? I was pretty big into the DC punk site at that time too! Hahaha! Never guess it looking at me now!

I lived in Rosslyn, VA in 2000. It was a six month internship, but I loved D.C. and I loved VA.
