I'm thinking my grow box may be a little on the small side so I may not need the carbon filter I made.

It's 20 x 20 inches with 31 inches in height. I may be growing 2 plants in there.

1 - Do I really need the filter? Or will a simple odor gel do?
2 - Can leaving the activated carbon in a corner work?

What I have learned is a few choices depending on intake, sealed, etc. If its a passive intake and single exhuast I would exchange the air at least two times or more...if you add a scrubber go x3 assuming you have bends and length in your ducting. Example... 2 ft by 2 ft by 3 feet high grow box would equal (2x2x3= 12 sq. ft.) So you would want a fan with a CFM rating of 24 cfm or 36 cfm rating, a simple blower 94 cfm or even around 120 should set you straight. You will need a filter depending if you care about smell. Flowering smells.....period. What type of light are you using? I wouldn't do anyore than a 400 watt for the fan I mentioned nor your space. Good Luck, I have this one bookmarked.

I'm using 2 - cfl 65 watters for veg and 3 or 4 - 65 watters for flower. My fan doesn't mention its cfm but it should be between 80 and 110, I think.
