Sorry to hear that.
From my experience it can help though. Nearly 30 years ago I had 4 wisdom teeth removed. The dentist gave me no pain meds, but the BIG chunk of hash I had offered a fair amount of relief. I smoked a bunch of it and just laid there listening to music. I wouldn't say it hurt any less, but the fact that it hurt didn't bother me so much. ;)

No, the best for tooth pain beyond cocaine, is clove oil. It really helps.
I split one of the root canals right down the middle day or two ago, can't get it pulled for another day, the clove oil is a godsend.

Do you use toothpaste with flouride? Look for Tom's natural toothpaste without flouride. 50 Reasons to Oppose Fluoridation (http://www.fluoridealert.org/50-reasons.htm)
A little off topic but I like to help as many people as I can... its the cannabis in me.

From my experience, you just needed more/better weed.
Cooking with cannabis will get you farther than any other method, but its more expensive, because it takes a LOT more.
Cannabis works better than ALL opiates, if used correctly.
I get the morphine pump removed when I wake up from surgery.

The important part, is that an overdose on cannabis is nearly impossible.
You can still function while under HEAVY dosage.
In fact, you can continue to feel the pain, when you CHOOSE to focus your attention on it, & then, think about something else and it goes away.
None of this is true for opiates.
If you think that your pain is more severe than brain surgery, then you have not had brain surgery. Its as simple as that!
(watch how nobody can honestly disagree)
