Do your homework. First assignment, read these posts:
Cannabis.com posts related to LED lighting (http://www.google.com/search?q=led+site%3Aboards.cannabis.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#sclient=psy&hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=QCi&rls=org.mozilla:en-US%3Aofficial&source=hp&q=led+site:boards.cannabis.com&tbs=qdr:m3&as_filetype=&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=led+site:boards.cannabis.com&gs_rfai=&pbx=1&fp=7bb884fa3be7f046)
Second assignment: Read some more.
Then ask questions.
I don't mean to be rude or harsh. This subject has been well covered. People here will help but you have to do some learning before you ask for assistance.

I just got 2-120w LEDs off of ebay for $165 each and they look awesome. I am going to use the LEDs for veg then add a 1000w HPS for blooming on 6 Big Bud Plants in soil in a sealed room.

welthink makes the best commercial LED lights on the market....i challenge anyone to post a better all LED grow with a commercial light than the one in my signature....other than Weezard...and he made his
i doubt anyone can find a LED light that is rated to be hung at 13 ft above the plants by the manufacturer :smokin:
ebay beware~ 1w diodes and 630nm on the top end reds and 120 degree angle.....660nm diodes are the most expensive...which is why you see big price differences in those light brite models:hippy:

I sold my LED panels and went to induction grow lights. Ck out youtube and you can see videos of grows under these lamps. They offer over 90% usable PAR light and the plant yields have been comparable to HID because the canopy penetration is better then my LED lamps had ever been. plus they were less expensive then the LED panels I'd bought. :rastasmoke:

90% usable par? Only if you're using a special red/blue phosphor blend. If the light is any shade of white (warm white to cool white,) your PAR can't be any higher than 40 and you just got lied to by marketing.
And I design induction lighting. They have WORSE penetration than T5HO units. Induction ~85lm/w T5HO 100-105lm/w.
Also, I have yet to see any induction grow top the typical GPW barrier. I've seen LED top it all day long.

this induction lighting seems interesting.

It's interesting, but it puts out a ton of heat. The ballast and the whole process is rather lossy given the external components. It is an OLD technology, and it really hasn't improved much since its inception.
It is much more difficult to work with in a design phase as you're trying to control externally-emitted EMR, and diamagnetic materials of the proper type are somewhat expensive.

I'm curious, which led panels did you try?
It's true that most of the commercial units are crap.
But, I have seen people over-saturate with good LED lights by having them way too close to the crown.
Of course, the plants stopped growing.
They concluded that "leds no work"!
When, actually, it was "pilot error".:D
Food for thought.

Gettin' a bit long in the tooth now, but once I surpassed HPS, and matched Hawaiian sun, I figured I was done.
I'll go bump it to make easier to find.
Tickled that you are interested.

I've had great success for over 2 years now using two Theroreme Innovation's ProBloom 600 LED grow lights. Abt six months ago we purchased 2 more. Currently each pair covers a 4'x4' tray usnig a light rail. Production is equal to or slightly greater with the TI's vs. 1000w HPS over each tray. The trays that had HPS are now using PSMH 1000w 3k bulbs for flower and 10k bulbs for last 2 weeks. Again comparable results, maybe trichomes amber quicker under the PSMH, but not my much.
My homebuilt T5/LED hybred, that I've been using almost 4 years now beats the crap outta 1000w HPS, but I do use a bunch of differant supplemental lights with it.
Yup, LED's don't work. :D
