One 600W HPS Bulb
One 600W Lumatek Dual Voltage Electronic Ballast (360, 400, 600W, and Super Lumens Settings)
One SilverStar 6" Air Cooled Reflector w/Integrated Socket
One Vortex 6" Fan w/Ducting
Advanced Nutrient's 'Bud Candy'
Top End Soil (anything that can drain well, has some pearlite & sponge rock, and thats within the range of 6.5-7.5 ph lvl)
'Vacation' timer

This list is mainly concerning hardware/nutrient and soil care. I dont have all this stuff yet, i dont dive in head first to an idea, i do my research. My main goal is to flower early so my plants dont get too huge. Im a college student just looking for a new hobby, so im basically in this to pass the time and grow to support my own habit from here on out, cause if i can do this right im sure ill get sucked into it like many of my friends. I do have a few questions though:

Is my 'beginning setup' too complex for a beginner, or just right? or not good enough?
Will a iMac 24" Cardboard Box with two 4 X 3" Squares cut on both sides be a good drybox and give sufficient airflow?
Is 12 hrs. on/off a good cycle for early vegging?
How many seeds should go into one pot?
Whats a good Fertilizer?
How long should i Germinate my seeds for before placing them in soil?
Whats a good light cycle for flowering?
What are some good ideas for the leftover trim/stems?

If there are specific threads out there that can help me with these questions, please let me know via e-mail or a reply on here. Im really excited to start getting into growing so any TRUE and HELPFUL advice will be much appreciated. Thanks, and have a fly day. :rastasmoke:
