Hi, we decided to try growing a plant, mostly for fun, indoors. It is about 3 months old, looking strong...not sure if it is a male of female yet though. What i am wondering is does the smell of the plant tell us anything? Sometimes it smells strongly of weed and then it will smell like...well...green is the way i always describe it. Does this tell us anything? like more or less water? male or female? maturity level? It has alternating nodes, and what looks like little leaves trying to grow from the base of the stems...i thought that meant it was female at first, but have since learned that you need to flower first to tell. Oh we have a strain called...ermmm...Hollands hope i think :)

Dont mean squat. I have a couple of strains that have neutral smell(hardly smell at all).If you came in my house you wouldnt know i have anything growing. What little smell there is smells almost tangy.

In Plantspeak the smells are most likely messages to insects which mean things like Don't Eat Me or Please Feel Free To Crawl On My Pollen Covered Flowers.
