LAB RESULT TIME FRAME QUESTION?

I am on probation right now and for the past year my probation officer has not given me a UA at all.... last week tho i went in to report and it was gonna be my last report, they were cutting me loose 2 years early and he popped a UA on me... It had been 10 days since i last smoked and i drank about a gallon and a half of water before i went in because i always do just incase... i know that normally they use the little 10 pannel strip test.... although this time they didnt... i peed in a vial and they put the chain of custody stickers on it and im geussing they sent it to a lab? after i left i went and got a home test and tested clean (2 very dark lines)... the pee was still a lil yellow but im certain that it would come back diluted from a Lab... my question is if anyone knows how long it takes normally for the results to come back from a lab?... its been over a week and i havnt heard anything ....

that long huh? i figured that this day and age things would move a bit quicker.... i wish i woulda got the name of the lab it was sent to im almost positive it wasnt labcorp, med tox or quest.... shits got me worried tho... ive passed many of the on-site tests but these lab test give me the creeps

I took a test on the 22nd and have not heard back one way or another on my results (for employer). They sent mine to Quest in California and Im paranoid too, even though I was passing home tests on my first void of the morning.

My company tests the first round of people on the 5th and did not notify them of pass/fail until the 15th, so Im saying 7-10 days max and then if you dont hear back, youre in the clear.

damn if youre passing home test first void you shouldnt even b paranoid! lol thanks for the info, i took the test wed so i guess burnt toast is right about monday being the non worry day till then im effin trippin! im not worried about it being positive im worried about it being diluted! i took a test 10 min after and passed it, but i had drank hella water

well i pas paranoid because i drank alot of water without doing the supplements and thought I would be too dilute and have to either retst or just be screwed in general.

Pretty sure they got our results back today, heard the bosses saying only one person had tested positive and they was from a different department from mine. I tested on the same day as that person and am hoping im home free! Going to wait one more day, and if im not fired tomorrow, celebrate :D lol

being too dillute can automatically result in a the lab marking the specifim as a 'positive result, but at least if you get a dillute positive, you have to given a chance to retest I believe. Can Just blame it on a shy bladder, and just always drinking plenty of waterso you can be sure to not have to wait around for hours to be able to go, and not knowing anything about drug tests, especially that it wasnt allowed to drink plenty of fluids.

I see yours took 6 days.... Ya i didnt use supplements eitheir just because all the tests i have ever seen them give were in house tests(dipstick) i wasnt even expecting a test and i surely wasnt expecting a lab test. I just drank hella water like 1.5 gallons and pissed about 5 times i didnt even test myself before because ive gone through so many home tests and i know that if i smoke 5 days and stay clean 10 days ill b clean(with very dark line) if i just drink water of course after i gave the sample i went and bought one just to make sure..... So 6 days for you been 8 days for me and u only drank water and didnt come back dilute or positive. Maybee im good then. I will keep ypu posted and u do the same

And yes it does suck, this waiting game is killing me been losing sleep oh and btw my plan if a dilute comes back is ..... Im a gym rat and i normally do drink around 1.5 to 2 gallons of fluid a day to keep muscles hydrated(not all at once tho) i also stay on a ketogenic diet most of the time(nocarbs) which makes my body work a lil different , people that eat alot of carbs tend to hold alot of water, when carbs are eatin they turnes into glycogen and stored in a solution form and sent to your muscles if needed or sent to your sub coutaneous layer where you will eventually use the glycogen or it will go through lipogenesis and be turned into fat so if your not eating carbs most of the fluids you drink will go straight through you

Another thing i thought about was... This guy didnt ua me for a whole year so this test was as random as they get, not like i coulda planned for it even tho i did

I have not heard back 'officially' either. I asked my supervisor today if everything was ok (using the "I forgot to tell them I was on codones and wondered if they would call" excuse" and he said yeah as far as he knew, that my name had not come up. But then later came back and said that 'some people may think theyre safe who are not", so that has me paranoid after a blissfull weekend of making up for lost time with Mr Bong.

So if anything does come back and I have to retest, QuickFix is now my only option, and Im quite ok with that because abstaining sucks, and the stress for waiting for dilluted results make it suck even more.

Yea well i think youre good... It just seems like to me that in this day and age information moves pretty damn fast and i think 2 weeks is clearly enough time to get some lab results back... Maybee im wrong tho

I was on probation for ten years and got tested pretty regularly. If he was going to release you from supervision you should just give him a call and ask if and when he is going to send the court your release paperwork. That way it looks like you are asking about your case and if the UA has not came back he MIGHT say he is waiting for the results. Trust me on this......he will not send in the release forms unless you pass the UA. I think you will be just fine though!

If he was going to release you from supervision you should just give him a call and ask if and when he is going to send the court your release paperwork. That way it looks like you are asking about your case and if the UA has not came back he MIGHT say he is waiting for the results. Good call (no pun intended)!:thumbsup:

This is equivalent to calling up an employer and asking for the "start date", which is often advised to worried applicants who have yet to hear any news.

The point is, never inquire about the test results. That just makes things look bad for you if you want to be viewed as a "clean person".

LoL so I got pulled into the office today and was told I was too dilute. I smoked this past weekend to celebrate, and am told I can have a retest sometime next week. Looks like my QuickFix will get put to use..

Wow i just cant believe that it took that long for them to tell you that! That is
Crazy so im on day 14 still no call back from anyone, ive talked to a few others who have been in the same situation and they tell me that they heard back on their dirties within a week... Im still not real sure and as far as calling , i was supposed to report back next month to a lil seminar the judge gives for people getting released early... Im not gonna call just incase i get nervous and say something.... Geuss im gonna just gonna go with the flow...... For thr folks who check this board that are in the same position, i would like to state that, if i passed the ua/ and passed a dilution test, it was eitheir by luck or by the hand of god! If youre facing a UA for employment or legal reason give your self a little bit of time to clean out a bit, and research this board and any other information sources you can on ways to help prepare yourself.... In my own experience i was caught off guard but i was still somewhat prepared... Just not prepared enough to feel secure about it tho.....

heres a lil update on my situation, i went back to see my PO to sign papers he said your drug test came back neg but was abnormal then showed me a paper specific gravity and PH were right on the money which is very werid but it said my creatine levels were through the roof! have no idea how this happed. again LUCK OR HAND OF GOD! lol

"Abnormal" creatinine levels are low levels. There are no upper limits established for creatinine. Sounds like whoever told you the results needs an education and training on specimen validity guidance.
