Just a quick question, seeing as the search option on this website is way too vague.
How, or can you, LST when using an NFT system? Because I can't figure what you'd tie down to :what:
EDIT: Sorry, I know this should have gone in the Hydro section

you can use tape and string. you can add hooks to your tubes, you can use wire at the bends. use your imagination.

i ran into the same problem. UsuaLLY ILL drill holes in the pots and tie strings to it. With my trays i use for Hydro its just not plausible anymore.
I supercrop my plants during veg instead of LST. I bend the branches until they fold over at a 90 degree angle. It stress's the plant a little more, but it essentially does the same thing as LST(creating a shorter plant and more tops) The folded over stem will grow a Knuckle and resume normal growth with a week or two.
just like shake said above, improvise your own way and share!! The topics of LST, Bending, Supper Cropping are ever expanding and being improved by growers every day.

I was going to use these plastic bends i found online that allow you to bend the stem safely, but I think i'll just got with supercropping :)

i make rock ornaments by wrapping various size rocks with bailing wire and then i leave 4 to 14 inches of wire left attached to the rocks .i can put the rock on top of the soil and snake the wire up to branch i want to manipulate, and just use the weight of the rocket bring the branch down. some of my rock ornaments are very small so i can hang on a branch , to expose the center of the plant to more light. this is much easier than a bonsai tree approach, of wrapping the branch with wire. you can place the rock ornament in the morning and then remove at nite and move it to a new branch, you don't need to leave it for a prolonged period of time.
