Hi first post here.
I have two headband plants that i got as clones from the dispensary, they looked about a week old when i got them.
Now they are at about 3 weeks and for some reason the pistils are starting to emerge. The light has been on 18/6 but i got a crappy timer so it sometimes resets it self and i have to reprogram it and that subtracts about 5 minutes of light, 30 one time because i was distracted at the time.
Is this normal for them to show pistils before flowering? This is my first grow so im confused.

As a grower for years... Most likely the clones you got
Were under constant 24 light at the club or aren'tvery old
Any amount of dark will stress a clone right outa veg and begin a
False bloom much like a false pregnancy or dogs if that helps
It will balance it's self back out but probe needs a good veg cycle for at least a cpl weeks before u bloom also people take clones late sometimes
And the plants have already started to bud then are thrown back into veg as clones. There are so many variations that can affect any garden usually
It's not ever just one thing. Your fluctuation in light with a shitty timer
Most likely isn't the reason but will cause you trouble later get a good high capacity cheap on off timer at depot or walmart. Chek the amps and get something you can sink down to the minute with multiple timers in other words get a simple one

So is this not gonna be a big deal? Will the plants still enter veg cycle normally? This is my first grow so I'm pretty inexperienced.
Also the pistils haven't shown until recently, maybe today or yesterday.

Bull puckey. (no offense, being silly)
I think that you have an older female that will show the pistils during veg. Don't worry about it.

I'm with Washougal on this one. Likely the clones, which are the same chronological age as the mother plant, are showing pre-flowers. (pistils)
If it's not an autoflower strain there's nothing to be concerned about, as they will continue the growth phase if kept under 18/6.
You can switch them to 12/12 at any point, but if done too soon you'll lose yield. Best to let 'em gain some size and strength before switching.

I always had pistils in 3rd or 4th week of veg from seed. With 18/6 even 24/0 light. I thought its normal. No?
