I'm currently using miracle-gro quick start 4-12-4 for my hydro plant's food and minute maid lemonade to bring ph down. It has been a month and my purple passion is growing and looking healthy.

1) will the sugar in minute maid cause problems down the road?
2) using miracle-gro quick start as the food okay for long term?

My set-up is a 3 gallon bucket with a wide net pot. Using a 4" round air stone and an air pump. I'm using fish tank gravel in replace of soil. Using natural sunlight as the plant only need indirect medium sunlight.

Thank you for any help.

ya I think you are headed for problems. I'd stop the minute maid activity now. Start using lemon juice or go to home depot and purchase some muriactic acid which will be located near pool supplies. I would use a ph pen to see exactly where your starting ph is and then add small amounts of the acid or lemon juice to bring it down to about 5.8. The sugars and other chemicals will find their way into your plant. The sugars alone may throw the plant out of whack. There is a ton of sugar in minute maid drinks.
