That's what we say about everything, but rarely does anything get smacked down. I wish that we could be more proactive instead of assuming lawyers are going to come save the day.

All I've seen the MMJ lawyers do so far is protect their biggest clients (MMC's) and take any case that can earn them publicity. We need real advocates.

No more caregivers. Patients can grow for themselves, no more than two patients to a house. :wtf:

I know they passed that but how is that ever going to stand in court when it's one's constitutional right. What cop is going to enforce it? First time it gets to court, it'll get shot down. What a waste of everyone's time & money, passing this piss-poor legislature.

you mean just like 1284?

completely unconstitutional, but the lawyers make more money helping MMCs comply than fighting it.

I read a story where most council members weren't even paying attention when people against it were speakin. In other words it appears they had made their mind up before ever taking comments & they didn't give a rats Ass what anyone had to say.

The city attorney claims they've been winning a lot of cases related to A20 in court. Their argument is that while many of us in the community take a broad view, they take a very narrow one. In their eyes, A20 only provides a legal defense against state prosecution for possession and consumption of medical marijuana. It doesn't grant any rights, deal with cultivation, distribution, etc.

We become one of these.

A protected class.
A group of people protected by law from discrimination or harassment based on their membership in the group. For example, under federal law, race, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, and age are examples of protected classes.

These are listed in the Federal Register as protected people.

The point that I am trying to make is that the intolerant political class is using the power of government to legislate discrimination and harassment of a uniquely identifiable group of people that choose to medicate with marijuana. They did the same thing to black people, gays, disabled people, old people, and now they are doing it to us. Shame on them!
