My son has been on meds for his ADD for over 8 years (he is now 15) and I don't like what it does to him and nether does he so he wanted to try some marijuana and I let him and what a change it made for the better. I don't use it myself but if it helps him I am fine with him using it but only under my control. Can he get a medical card? He is a freshmen in high school and was in sepecial education and needed alot of help at school from the 4th grade, this year he does not need hardly any help at school and his grades have never been better. We had to move him from a very small school in Colorado to a large school in Calif. and he is like a new kid, if I can't get him a medical card I will still let him use but I would feel better if I had a medical card for him.

go to Marijuana Law Reform - NORML (http://www.norml.org) or .com and read through there,i think with your consent he is able to but i am not truly sure about this...good luck...or you can easily call one of the medical marijuana doctors and ask them.

Thc bonds temporarily to the fat cells in your body, that includes the brain. Not sure that cannabis is the best medicine for a developing 15 years olds brain specially one in high school. The effect of thc bonding to the brains fat cells is only temporary but it makes it harder(not impossible)to retain learned information. Might see a drop in test scores. There are several studies confirming this. In the end you are the parent do the research, and do what you think is best.
