Hey guys, I've done some planning for my first grow and came up with this, I feel it's space efficient for my situation and the best technique for my lifestyle, feel free to add any knowledge to it, tell me it's fine, or destroy it! :D Just add any criticism in a post, Thanks!
The initial space (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S09886104) is;
150cm (width) x 66cm (depth) x 236cm (height)
or
59" (width) x 26" (depth) x 98" (height)
I will divide the cabinet into 2, then having two 118cm/49" compartments. The top compartment will have a 400W HPS Lamp (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-Lights-182/Grow-Lamps-192/Sodium-Grow-Lamps-808.asp), inside a Diamond Reflector (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-Lights-182/Reflectors-471/Diamond-Reflectors-554.asp) held by Easy-Rolls (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-Lights-182/Accessories-287/Easy-Rolls-197.asp) whilst the bottom compartment will hold a 250W Blue Spectrum CFL (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/CFL-Lights-95/CFL-Grow-Lights-122/High-Output-CFL-Systems-1148.asp). Both of these lights will be ran on timers (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-Lights-182/Accessories-287/Grasslin-Segmental-Timer-484.asp) (HPS on 12/12 and CFL on 18/6).
I will be using two Wilma 8 Pot Systems (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Hydroponics-266/Wilma-Systems-272/Wilma-8-Pot-System-596.asp), having one for flowering and one for veg.
For environmental management I will have a 270m3/h temperature controlled fan (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-room-Products-20/-In-Line-Fans-Fan-Filter-Deals-108/RUCK-Temperature-Controlled-Fans-1250.asp) using acoustic ducting (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-room-Products-20/Ducting-Ductwork-110/Acoustic-Ducting-112.asp) with a Rhino Pro Filter (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-room-Products-20/Carbon-Filters-Odour-Control-300/Rhino-Pro-Filters-Pre-Filters-1271.asp) to eliminate any odours, All attached together using ducting clips (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-room-Products-20/Ducting-Ductwork-110/Ducting-Jubilee-Clips-108.asp").
For media, I will start by using a root riot propagation kit (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Propagation-23/Propagation-Kits-420/Root-Riot-Propagation-Kit-860.aspx). When the plants are big enough I will transplant them into bigger rockwool cubes (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Growing-Media-198/Rockwool-289/Cultilene-Transplanting-Cubes-536.asp), and finally into the 11L Pots filled with Hydroleca clay pebbles (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Growing-Media-198/Hydroleca-Seramis-209/Hydroleca-8-16MM-237.asp). All of the cabinet will be lined with Diamond Reflective Mylar (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-room-Products-20/-Sheeting-331/Diamond-Grow-Reflective-Sheeting-855.asp).
I will be using General Hydroponics (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Plant-Nutrition-90/General-Hydroponics-403/GH-FloraGro-Bloom-Micro-920.asp) FloraGro, FloraBloom and Micro for nutrients.
Lastly, I have various tools including a waterproof pH pen, a waterproof EC pen, pH Up, pH Down, a 50ml Syringe, scapels, Clonex, Latex Gloves and a small propagator.
