View Full Version : What should I test for a 2nd home test?

I'm on day 16 of sobriety from regular use. One week from today, day 23, there's a small chance of a test. This morning I took a home test with my first morning pee and tested positive. I will start loading up on creatine and plan for a possible flush. I plan to retake the home test this next weekend, since another 5-6 days can make a difference if I'm borderline. My question is when I take another home test, should I test my morning pee to give me the clearest absolute idea where I stand, or should I test my second pee which would be the realistic pee that I would give? My test will be around 9:00am and so I won't have much time other than to piss my morning pee, drink water, and then proceed to a possible test. Also, since I won't have much time, should I load up on vitamin B in the morning, the evening before, or both?

Actually, I want to add that I looked once again at the test results and there's an incredibly faint line. I said I tested positive because I like to play it conservative. I know any line, however faint, is a line, and lines are fainter with low ng/ml cutoffs. So my revised question is does an incredibly faint line mean I'm borderline and that it should improve within the next 5-6 days when I retest myself?

Your first pee will have the highest concentration of THC so if you can pass with your first pee then you're good to go. Your question sounds like you already know this and you just want re-assuring,

There is no meaning attributed to the intensity of a line. To conclude that a faint line means "borderline" would be speculating (and wrongfully so) since home tests, like all assays, lack the ability to yield a quantitative value. Assays are a Pass/Fail endeavor.

Even synthetic urine controls (which contain no drug metabolites at all) can produce a faint line on an assay.

A faint line still counts as a line, and if a line appears in the T region, its a negative.

Theoretically yes and using the second void of the day on your next home test won't hurt. That's if your going to be taking the real test using the second void of the day.

As far as the B vitamins... Some are time released, so you may have to crush them. If you get up by 6:30 and take a couple, this should give them enough time to start to work. I would also substitute Gatorade for water when diluting before the real test, it helps with specific gravity.

Also remember the go into hibernation mode the last three days before the test. Be lazy and eat fatty foods, this slow down the release of THCA metabolites.

This was my first time to push the envelope to within the typically assumed 30-day window, so yeah I was nervous. I did actually end up getting popped with a test and I did pass negative thanks to my preparation, although drug tests are always hard to get the right timing even if you're innocent. You can't wait too long to piss or else your dam will break; you can't piss too early or your river will be bone dry; and if you drink too much then you might come up dilute. This is my fifth UA of the year and have a perfect score.
