I am new to the board and needing any information that can be provided.

I am 21 years old.
5'7 160lb.
Chronic user for 1-2 years.
Clean for 56 days.

I bought an at home test on day 28 and it came back positive 24 ng/mL.
Took another one on day 45 and it was positive as well at 23 ng/mL.

I am wanting to join the Air Force but I am waiting to be completely clean before going to MEPS. Does it really take 2 weeks to get rid of 1 ng/mL? I am needing help from anyone.

wow! your body is a BEAST at holding onto that thc!
im 6'1 170 pounds and i can get rid of thc in about 30 days! (im pretty sure 30 days IS the norm)

Maybe try a different brand of at home test??

...thats crazy 57 days completely clean and your still pissing dirty!?

MOST (idk about military) have a cut off limit of 50ng

(on a side note research JWH:thumbsup:)

i dont think you have to worry because the millitary sends its stuff off to the same labs that do employment testing and all theirs has a 50ng cut off

i think you might be right, but i want to be able to tell them i've never used it at all

u can tell them you have never used. they dont even test to numbers lower then 50ng...

now what if they did a spinal tap or hair test :jawdropper: HAHAHA

I really hope you are right but what I dont understand is that I am reading that the military cutoff level is 50 ng/mL and then it says confirmation level 15 ng/mL. So what does that mean?

Meps is almost a waste of time when I went through...

It prob means that reading 49ng or less is passing but anything between that and 15ng will be recorded for whatever reasons they may want to use it for. Anything under 14ng would prob just be disregarded altogether.

Or not :rastasmoke:

How do you know what your readings were? Home tests, being assays, lack the ability to yield quantitative values.

That means you will be taking an initial assay screen with a 50 ng cutoff limit. If the sample fails the initial assay, then it undergoes the confirmation GC/MS with a 15 ng cutoff limit and a quantitative value will be provided. Samples that pass the initial assay screen wont undergo the confirmation test.

Even though their cutoffs numerically differ, a 50 ng assay is functionally equivalent to the 15 ng GC/MS. The numbers differ because the assay recognizes all 31 metabolite concentrations combined, while the GC/MS only recognizes one metabolite concentration (THC-COOH).

I mailed the at-home drug test off because I couldnt tell if their was a line there or not on the test and thats what the results came back, it said POSITIVE d9 THC (or w/e the big term is) 23 ng/mL so where do i stand?

Theres no telling where you stand because each persons body is different. There are too many variables to take into consideration in order to accurately determine how long it would take for the body to rid itself of THC. Thats why periodic home testing is important.
Take one more home THC test 3 days before the scheduled U/A. Be sure to test the first urination of the day. If youre still failing, then you may want to consider making preparations for dilution, specifically creatine-loading. Read up on N2's Dilution 'sticky' thread for tips.

well there is no scheduled u/a, its just whenever i'm ready...im just tired of waiting but if thats what it takes i will...i dont want to use dillution or any of that stuff...my main concern is if i can get in now at 23 ng/mL (which was tested almost 2 weeks ago)
