i have some old plants in my basement that are mostly dead and but are trying to stay alive....of course i keep watering them but i want to go ahead and put them out of their misery..my question is... is pot more potent dead or alive...they are from last year and i just kept pruning them as needed and never pulled them up...

Why dont you just put a nice 400w HPS over them and nurse em back to health, why would you want to kill them?

its aproaching summer, stick them outdoors and let them do their thing. They'll thank you with pounds (yes pounds, they have been there a while haven't they?) of marijuana. So put those poor plants outside and whach the miracle of a weed.

How old exactly are they?

Don't forget with age you get male flowers and abnormal bud and leaf growth.

It may not be worth it to nurse them back to health, and by the sounds of it you kinda have already sign their death warrant.

Find a nice hole out back... and cut em..

thanks for the input....i'm moving them outside in full sun....its still a bit chilly here in the southeast but no chillier than the basement...i'm looking forward to some great results....another question....does a plant lose its potency when it is dead or does it matter....not buds...just a plant....the answer is probably obvious but i'm no expert...thanks...scruffykitty...
