Need Help quick (pics included)

2 1/2 week old seedlings, Were doing good till about 5 days ago both
plants started to show stunted growth.

And on my #1 plant shows signs of some kind of defincency. I was thinking maganease?

but i dont know i wanted a couple of opiions before i try to treat for a specific problem. If you


Grow specs:


1.5'w x 1.5'l x 2'h Box lined with white paper

Mg soil With 30% perlite for aeration

as of now 2 (6500k) 120w eq. Cfl's

ph of water is 7.5

ph of soil is 7.6 ( i know a lil high but i cannot get no ph stuff where i live)

temp is around 76-80 degrees

24/0 light


All help would be appreciated but this is a time sensitive matter in the past 2 days ive seeen that the necrotic Spots are spreading rather qucikly and seems to only be on plant #2, But slow growth on plant #1.

I used white vinegar, 5% acidity, mixed w my water to help lower the pH a bit at first. I only used it for a week and it helped to slowly lower it a bit over time. I'm using pH Down from a hydro shop now. My pH tests were showing it took roughly one teaspoon vinegar to lower the pH of a quart of water 1 number. I'd still used caution when adding anything though.

Is that temp at plant height?

Do you have good ventilation and a fan circulating air in the grow area?

How close are the lights to the plants?

You're deff gonna need more lights soon. The sooner the better.

EDIT: Are you feeding the plants any nutes yet?

Cfl's at like 1.5 " away from plant top. i know its not gonna be enough light and yes i have a fan for air movement, I want to know what the spots are on my leaves. I know that my temps are no problem. So next suggestion please!!!!!!:thumbsup:

Ive looked at a thousand different photos to try and diagnose a problem. I was starting to think its a Mg deficency but i didnt want to make a drastic attempt to fix my plant and in ther long run cause more problems, Im a first time grower so im looking for advice from more expericened growers then my self. The only other way I can help is to tell ya to fill THIS (http://boards.cannabis.com/plant-problems/173775-cancom-copy-n-paste-troubleshooting-forms.html) out.

Then when one of the vets here come by all the standard q's are a'd and they have a better understanding of exactly whats going on.

Necrotic spots can occur if a plant is deficient. But your plant doesnt seem to be very deficient. Hmm. Are you keeping the soil moist? I would recommend flush with quarter strength nutrient solution and see what happens. Dont think it would be manganese def. this early on.. Also sometimes plants are just genetically weak. If it only affects one plant perhaps that one plant couldnt fend off the attack.

From just the things you stated I would definitely find a way to get ph stuff. 7.6 is too high and can cause lockouts which lead to deficiencies. That is a suggestion and no real diagnosis can be made without a filled out troubleshooting form.

PH is critical. You can order up/down and a pen from the internet very easily. You have to get the ph corrected before you try to fix other things.

Hey again Tinytoon,

Hopefully the little pest will learn his manors, then I'll leave him alone. If not I'll step it up a notch. LOL Yeah, I may be old and cranky, but I won't and don't take anything from anybody.
