The Basement shaman's 5x Salvia is pretty righteous. I have broke thru to the outer reaches with 10x from the best source, but i think for those unfamilar 5x is a good intoduction. Anyone familiar with Basement shaman and their products? I'm still going right now though I cracked Sam Adams to "ground myself" and type somewhat better!! Hahahahaha

Haha Unexplaianble is a good term. Honestly I experienced Salvia only this year in 2005, and I consider myself to be a pretty wise psychonaut. after all I'm 28 and have used the gamut of good shit hahaha. I had a bag of salvia standardised extract in my bookcase, sandwiched between some books, since 2001. Just a few months ago,maybe Jan 2005, i smoked the 10x extract i had. At first I was like naa it's 4 years old what could it possibly do. Well let me tell you brother, when i hit it once good on my bowl...that was it. Weirder than any LSd or Mush feeling i have ever experienced! It was both frighteening and exilirating!
Have you ever done 'cid or shrooms? if no I would say try that first, if you have done those then a solid salvia 10x extract is in the cards for you.

Salvia is unlike either shrooms or acid. I've had many blissful shroom trips when i was younger, but my last 2 shroomers were bummers LONG sTORY short...Acid is a novelty nowadays anyway. If you DO find anybody in ya area, where do you live btw, who claims to have acid LSD, it probabaly is not 100%. Order some salvia 5x clean standardized xtract from Basementshaman.com, pack a fat bowl and be re-conncected. I love tripping as much as the next person, but you don't need all the big n heavy artillery. For you mang it's $25 investment for 1 gram of Salvia 5x from basement shaman. You may get cheaper offers from here n elsewhere, but trust me, if you never did acid but did shrooms, try this on the go around. It'll be affirimg!

So just skip the 10x and go str8 to the 20 x or even 40x?? I've used this cat out in Oregon who DOES NOT advertize on the web in this day and age, but his extracts are among the best. Sagewisdom.com is TOO DAMN expensive, I'll think I'll have to take Mr. Dick Justice's advice myself and try shamansplace. I must admit, even a seasonsed vet like me, who has orbited outta my universe with a top quality 10x, is apprehensive to go to 40x, shit I'll meet Terence Mckenna'a famed elves for real? Wow...it may have been the newest incarnation of the FURTHUR bus except it's a locomotive now! Yeah man, i pussied out and ordered some 15x extract from SALVIAWORLD. the flavored salvia sounds tempting to me, from salviasupply right? But at the same time it seems like a novelty trick to me. I persoannly like the taste of salvia nice n earthy no probs there. Anyone order from SAlvia world before? Sheeeet i'm sure many have but i need reports on the quality of their 15x extract.

Hey D.J.- Perhaps I have mellowed with age, I'm a whopping 28!!, but I would equate taking a high quality trip on 40x!! Sally xtract to taking 1500 mics of pure LSD-25...TOO MUCH! After all, if the stuff is pure, top quality and does the trick, there is no need to go off the deep end. That is just my equation. For me, I obtained a 10x extract from Jody Hord( one of the most reliable sally guys on the planet ) for my first time and broke thru on one bowl. Sure, everyone is different but damn a 40x extract?? That was probably for you like SLIM PICKINS RIDING THE MISSLE in Doc Strangelove "YeaaaaaaaaaaaaHAWWWW!" Was it not? Anyway, I have since navigated the salvinorin world quite well, after taking about 3 yrs off from all entheogens( like tha word better than psychedelic ) and am ready for the 15x xtract when it arrives from Salviaworld.com. I will have have to second that emotion too, 40x for a BEGINNER? Man oh man is that unwise! On my first toke of a standardized 10x i was blown thru time and existence and cosciousness and DNA and, you get the picture. It is NOT a matter of "Gee man, how many people will get high off this?" That is one thing that pisses me off about these posts. some are legit questions with serious intention and some are just...DUMB! Again...SALVIA is not recreational!!! AT ALL! at the least, a nice mellow 5x extract COULD be used for so called fun, but even THAT lil ol 5x xtract will flood your consciousness with "the other." Anyway NO 40x is NOT the way to start your openig dialouge with Salvia, 10x or 20x if yer gonna go that way.

Non standardized basically is impurified through the extraction process meaning...you are getting all thse unecessary tars and shit that are not good. standardized on the other hand is purified product, salvinorin a, added to plain salvia leaf. i have always smoke the standardized but when comparing the tow why would i smoke non? anyone smoked non standardized and have any glowing stories?

I wouldn't say it is more dangerous it just that standardized is the way to go, it's overall safer in all aspects. Have you tried what you ordered yet? i'm sure you'll blast off to hyperspace either way! LOL

Don't listen to all the talk about it must be smoked in a water cooled bong with a butane lighter. you have good 20x salvia, a regualr pipe and a good ol bic will send you on your way! BUT...you do need to hold that smoke in for as long as possible and smoke up the entire bowl, if it is strong 20x then a nice pinch shall do!

EXACTAMUNDO! On my first breakthrough on 10x I was both TERRIFIED and JOYED! It does not need to be said again but Salvia is not for FUN, I see why people say it is best used for meditative/mystical reasons. I remember the first time trying to hold on by a string to my ego and it was just like "you FOOL LEt go already willya?" I did and WHOOSH I've gained the utmost respect for it. In a psychedelic sense i would say I prefer it over any of the others, for many reasons but I like that it is short acting. i am gettin too old to spend 8-10 hours trippin balls LOL. I feel you can gain infinite knowledge from a 10-20 minute journey into salvia'a realm just as you can from LSD or psilocybin. I haven't tried shamans palace yet but i'll put that on the "to do list." So how did you smoke it out of a regular pipe with a bic lighter like I do? If it is the bomb, like you & I had, the real deal salvia all you need is ONE GOOD LONG PULL, and hold it in till you breakthrough, sound familiar? LOL

Damn out of a bong! see I ripped just off a pipe my firsttime, my last bong was "confiscated" lol but yeah, I'm sure your consciousness just zooooomed as you exhaled that last time. It is such and immediate breakthrough. How many times have u journeyed with salvia? I know what you mean when you say your scared of it, but i think revered or respective of it is better. I agree though salvia can be "scary" in its own unique way but it is an eye opener. Me persoanlly,I will journey a few more times, but defintley few n far between, in complete comfort n safety and with the utmost respect upon it/her/him whatever one wants to call it!

Yes it is comparable to a vortex a pulling with a "pins n needles" sensation, very unique to the psychedelics. It can be the most frightening thing at first, like we both experienced, but once you get used to the salvia realm it can be more enjoyable. Scary, joyous, utterly starange and utterly familiar all at the same time.
