This is my first grow and I have absolutely no prior experience in botany or gardening. That being the case I just tried growing bagseed and from what germinated only 2 plants survived and here they are. The one in the brown pot is from mids and the one in the gray pot is good stuff from NYC I got off someone I know from there. How do you think it looks at 2 1/2 weeks in the dirt?

I put the germinated seeds in Miracle-Grow Seed Starting Potting Mix and once they reach 3 weeks I plan to transport them into bigger pots that should last into harvest time, at that time I also plan to begin using fertilizer. The lights I use amount to 10,000 lumens, with 8,000 coming from a 100 watt metal halide and some 2600 coming from a 32 watt cfl that says 100 watt equivalent.

Thanks for all your input!

So far they're lookin good.

Any better pics?

Of course, temps, pH, air circulation, nutes, type of lighting, and a lot of other stuff comes into play. But, WTF do I know? Im on my first grow too, just a month or so ahead of ya :D

OH YA! Welcome to cancom :rastasmoke:

Wow I was actually motivated to get up and go find my camera as opposed to using the IPhone and emailing it to myself as I did for the first pic. But here you go, 3 clear Cybershot pics, one of each plant then both plants together. Tell me what you see.

Cool. A lot better.

Ya, their looking pretty well as far as I can tell.

Im sure someone with more exp would be able to catch if something is wrong.

Give em time, the peeps that have been here forever will get around to ya soon enough.

can you at least confirm whether these are both indica on account of the fat leaves? :D

Need to tweak your methodologies a bit. Im sure reading this forum will help.

Im on my first grow as well, from bagseed. I read up alot on different forums, built my own hydro system, studied nutrients and pH, yadda yadda. Plant is now 6 feet tall, with buds like you see.

It can be done, but you do need to take guidance from the wisdom of this forum.

Edit: Oh forgot, pics are 1 month into flowering.

If you are talking about the sunlight systems T5 lamps, thats really all you would need.

MH is the best for vegging, but you can use HPS through the plant cycle if you want. HID Floros are good too (like the T5). If you are going to use CFL, but them in actual wattage, not wattage equivalent. Home depot sells them in high wattage.

The more light the better, just depends on your space and setup.

Read as much as you can on maintaining nutes and pH. Just like light, the more knowledge, the better.
