Hi All,

I have recently started to grow again after more than a year without being able to and I picked up some seeds called Mendocino Madness by THSeeds.
I have heard a lot of good stuff about this strain, however I have since discovered that they are actually an outdoor strain while my setup is well and truly indoors.

So are there any issues then with growing an outdoor strain indoors?

2 weeks ago, I took my first cuttings from the parent plants and today the best rooted ones have gone into veg for a week before going into flower where I will hopefully discover I have a few females (and something to smoke a few weeks after that!).

But the parent (still unsexed so can't call them mothers yet) plants haven't looked in perfect health like my previous grows would do.
While they have been growing big and strong, with many leaves and branches, they have also had some yellowing on the leaves. More than an acceptable amount in my opinion.

It is possible that I just haven't been giving them enough nutes yet as I've been really stingy with the feeding as I use a professional soil with all the starting nutes they require.
But I am wondering if I have perhaps bitten off more than I can chew and entered into a particularly tricky world of growing an outdoor strain indoors.

Temps are 75-80c, humidity around 40%.
I have a fan circulating the air and the room is well ventilated.
I am using 1x 400W MH for the parents which is about 1ft above the canopy.
The parents are about 8 weeks old now and are not rootbound as they are still holding water for around 3 or 4 days.

I'm not here looking for a full diagnosis though.
I'm merely trying to rule out the possibility that the outdoor strain is the problem.

Any advice?

Cheers!

Okay, forget about the plant problems I was having as they have now gone.

But I would still like to hear from anyone who has grown an outdoor strain indoors.
Is there any difference?

It says on the seed bank's site that this strain "can be grown indoors" but does that mean it will do reluctantly or will it be just as happy as an indoor strain?
Why might it prefer to be outdoors and what might it not like about being grown indoors?
