im somewhat of a newbie juss started a few months ago and its the shit but i was wondering if u need to inhale to get high? i always inhaled cus i dont giv a shit wut my lungs look like, but my friend said if u dont inhale and just hold it it will be a better high is this true?

Lol your friend is a dumbass, you need to inhale or you wont get as high becaue then you dont absorb as much thc, also coughing or choking is good because then it opens up some shit in ur lungs(dont remeber what im baked) but then you get more thc in you, meaning you get higher

I have always heard that if you french inhale(that is, holding it in your mouth and then sucking the smoke out of ur mouth thru ur nose) you will get higher or high faster beacuse the THC is absorbed thru the membranes in your nose, tho i never think to try it when i smoke. Anyone know whether this is true or not?

Dude Sum thats definately not true, i mean think about it how would THC be absorbed in your nose. Its all absorbed in your lungs only. And by the way french inhaling is actually when you take a really big hit off a joint or blunt usually and then get the smoke really concentrated in your mouth to blow it out just a little,(can only be done inside or with no wind) and then you suck it back in. If you do it right it looks really cool.

when you take a drug through your nose, it goes to your head faster (e.g. snorting coke) so french inhaling does add to your high, at least in theory.

and sk8er, french inhaling is when you take a big hit and get it concentrated in your mouth, but the next part you've got wrong. the idea is to just barely let it out of your mouth and then suck it in your nose. it's really fuckin' difficult.

Christ people, mucus membranes are permeable. The ones in your nose, the ones in your ass, they work essentially the same as the ones in your lungs! Logic would dictate that by passing smoke across multiple membranes, more THC has a chance to pass through those membranes and into your blood stream. Simple biology kids!

i can stick my pinky up my nose all the way to the knuckle....lol.....it feels weird as hell....fun trick to freak out new people....i was never really into coke tho....i mainly snorted pills....and lots of them any pill people take to get high (and some that just cause drowsiness) i've probably snorted....my favorite tho is xanax.....it's a whole diffrent high then just swallowing them. it feels and almost taste like coke when it starts running down and makes your throat go numb....but it's a downer high....i love that high it's like the perfect high to smoke weed with.....i wouldn't suggest it though cuz it does eat at your nose pretty bad and i think pills do it faster than coke. and to lonerstoner....does that mean if i hit a sweet through my nose i'd get noticeably higher? lol...i doubt i'd try it...cuz first of all if i was smoking with anyone i'd get my ass beat, second of all.....i dunt think i'd like smelling that for hours....

lol, you could try it, it would suck, but it would get you higher. You can help enhance your high by exhaling through your nose too, your lungs only absorb an estimated 20-50% of the THC in smoke (I wish I could remember where that came from), so there's still 30-60% of the THC that was in the smoke (provided you inhaled through your nose) coming back up.

cool maybe i will try it....i seem to remember one day (ima explain why i can't remember for sure) me and my bro were havin a party at our apartment (it was just a garage apartment my grandparents let us stay in until they had to tear it down) well we got some ladies and a couple of friends over there and in the mere 2 hours before a fire truck pulled up next door and freaked out everyone! LOL! this is what i had done... first i snorted 1 1/2 xanax then took the other half and chased with a shot of vodka (between me and my brother we drank a half galllon) the we smoked a blunt and was chilling til everyone showed up durring that time we drank some screw drivers. well when everyone showed up they brought a 8 oz. bottle of the strongest drank (i can't remember the actual name of it but it's purple and gooooood i think it's codine) took a couple shots outta that then we smoked a blunt laced with coke....well that's why i can't remember for sure but i think my brother tried hitting a pipe through his nose and he claimed it got him higher....but i dunno guess it can't hurt to try...as long as i'm smoking by myself thanks for the tip....and btw to the creator of the thread......WTF IS THE POINT IN SMOKING WEED IF YOU AIN'T INHALING IT??? haha when I was drunk one time, me and a buddy decided to smoke a whole ciggy through our noses. it hurt and we looked like idiots, but we got a pretty decent buzz.
