Seems like a rather stupid idea, i know, but was having lots of trouble with soil so I transplanted the plant to a DWC system.
Methods:
I slowly broke up the soil from around the roots, while bathing in pH'd solution. Fed roots through 3" net pot, filled with rinsed hydroton, and placed in 5 gal res...

Think it'll survive? Plant was stressed under the soil conditions it was in, maybe the added stress of t/plant will be enough to kill it? Maybe not? Guess you'll have to stick around to find out lol...

Over-night the plant seems to already be doing slightly better. I'll post some pics as soon as I get my new cam. Old one broke (again).

Ive seen it before with success. It helps to do it when the plant is small but like you said.. its very stressful. Glad you did it with success!
