Hi im doing a indoor grow with a 400 watt HPS, i have 5 girls going on, and i would say that about half of the HAIRS are turning Orange and the question is.. when do the calyx's swell up and fill up the bud flowers? because right now it looks good but doesn't look full ( about 6 weeks and 2 days flowering )
i read that the plant grows alot of its weigh and figure near the end of flowering, how much longer do i wait to see this take effect?

Im wondering this too. I have 1 plant 5 weeks and 5 days into flowering so im right behind ya. Its a bagseed strain which came from some nice "mids" and looks to be a sativa. Anyways Im waiting for that 'swelling' to occur still too. Tomorrow im adding molasses to my water for which i hear many great things when it comes to flowering.

i just read somewhere, it says that the plant will swell up completely around 8 weeks near the maturity of the plant, if anyone know if this is reliable ? i just dont wanna harvest getting only like 6 grams lol

For my white widow it was somewhere around week 7. They will dramatically swell over a few days once it starts happening. I think once that starts, at least for me, it was a sign to stop feeding and start flushing until they finish.

Calyxs usually start swelling after the 6th week of flowering.

Calyxs usually start swelling after the 6th week of flowering.right on...usually being THE key word here...... they will swell if given enough time.....have Patience grasshopper and keep your eye on the trichs for proper harvest timing as some verities can take 12 weeks or longer to ripen.
