Hey guys, I'm new around here. Lately my plants have been showing signs of some sort of deficiency; I saw entire lower leaves turn to yellow within days. I assumed a NPK deficiency and added some chicken manure. After not recovering and the condition progressing towards the top, I saw a lime/green sort color on the leaves in the growing shoot. I expected a Mg deficiency so I treated all foliage with epsom salt. After a weeks worth of daily Mg treatment, conditions haven't improved. I have added pictures to help with a diagnosis. pH of the soil has been tested to be around 6-7. Potting mix appears to be mostly comprised of shredded wood with some dark soil.

Honestly.... She looks fine to me.

The yellow dying leaf on the bottom is natural with some strains. The plant is focusing all of its energy into new vegetative growth on the terminal areas. Just clip off the bottom leaf, it's no big deal. This will happen a few more times throughout your grow....

The lime coloring is also normal. The newest growth on your plants will often be this color. They will continue to grow out anf darken up a bit.

The potting mix could be a lot better. What exactly are you using? A store bought brand or a home-made blend?

I'm using a store bought brand. It was actually the most expensive potting mix I could find. Are you certain that the yellowing and eventual death of the bottom leaves is normal? I'm finding the next set of leaves starting to yellow up? Which particular strains do this? I'd like to find out more on this.

I have also added some more pictures, showing the entire plant. It isn't looking particularly strong due to over watering, however the dying leaves are clearly visible.

It wil be just fine.If you stop watering so much and transplant out of the mulchy looking soil. get somthing light and fluffy with lots of perlite in it.That cheap potting mix with wood chips in it ,is very crappy to grow in ph can go all over the place for you. If you have to get a small bag of miracle grow or scotts premium. they are economical as well as beginner friendly, Due to the fact they are bufferd for proper ph 6.2-6.8.

If you really want help, fill out the troubleshooting form. I am amazed you haven't killed them with the chicken pooh, that is really hot stuff. Then to use epsom salts. This is sounding like just a throw it at the plant and hope regime which usually ends up causing more problems than the initial problem.

Form in my signature.

I am using each amount very sparingly; which is why the plants haven't died. Each deficiency which I assumed was based upon the symptoms being present. The very reason you have stated is why I have posted on this forum - to avoid misdiagnosis.

Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil.
Yates Professional Potting Mix
.8) Size of container.
Small pot - pictured.
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings?
No.

10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting?
Aquarium water with a pH of 6.5 - 7.
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...)
Aquarium test kit
12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...)
None needed.
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule.
Diluted chicken manure. Slight sprinkle, only fed once.
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering?
Every couple of days, slight sprinkle.
15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...)
No.
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate?
Have tested on numerous occasions and tannins from wood appears to keep the soil acidic.
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph?
NA
18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray?
Have foliar fed with epsom salts before night. Treatment has ceased after a week due to no results.

Your growroom:
