today is day 4 of flower there in dark cycle right now.
yes on the big one when it was about 15 days old i bent and tied it compleatly over(thats when the to broke off) then as each branch grew up enough the were bent over and tied it. it looked like a circle then as the next round bent and tied them to create a kinda stacking efect dit that till it filled up so much i got worried about how full it got. the little one i just pulled down the branches a little just enough to get a little more light penatration then bent the top over a little to balance the canapya bit the day i put in flower. the light is a 400 watt hps(entire grow) i have a 4" vortec fan with a 12 x 4 carbon filter. i have a 4 inch inline booster fan pumping air into the tent. and a 12" osculating fan. oh ya i looked at a fan leaf under a microscope and they have started building tricombs already.

I would add it every fourth water. My watering sched. went as follows: ferts+water, plain+water, ferts+water, molass+water.....and then repeat!

Grew out a _Dinafem_ Blue Widow a while back. There's a log on here from the grow. She went from 20" to 33" over three weeks. It wasn't topped or trained at all, so I don't know how that relates to that BUSH ya got going there! :D She's gonna be like a hedge of buds.

BW was very tolerant of nutrients. I gave it the full Fox Farm regimen, at full strength for the whole grow, with no ill effects.
As to the "yellowing and drying of the inner growth", are you seeing this on both plants? Kind of hard to really see much detail with the little pics. :(
How long since a re-pot?
Closer pics of the problem area?
If you're really concerned, you should make a post to the plant problems section. There's a sticky with a troubleshooting form there.

ya but i have a problem yesturday the manager told me an exterminater is going to be comming tomarrow for a mouse problem. well they have to give 48 hour notice before entering so i am going to refuse entry. that gives me 48 hours. now my question. i can get 2 large cardboard boxes for them but no way to add air flow. they will be here during the dark time. will it hurt them to be 12 hours in a taped cardboard box for 12+ hours. i intend to box them just before he gets here (30 min prior to lights off) then put them back in the tent after the lights on time. i know that this put them under stress. but am i going to be ok or will it cause them perminant damage.

10-25-2010, 02:50 AM
Exterminator, Yeah, your girls should be ok in the boxes as long as its during the dark cycle,.... what ya gonna do with the tent? throw a tomato in there? Unless you can hide all your gear he's gonna know. Good luck on that end. That's one reason I never grew while I was renting.
More like 2g dried and cured, of course depending on how well the colas fill in.... then again, 1/8th is only 3.5g os it's not impossible!

10-25-2010, 09:20 AM
hehe the tent comes down in 10 min.(back up another story) and all my gear and ferts fits in my chest of drawers, foot locker/coffee table and the tent fits in another box i have. which is easily concealed. im just worring about lack of air flow. i live in washington and it is very humid while it is raining which it is for the next few days. will the lack of fresh air and high humidity be a problem.

I don't see a problem with doing that, I had to power down and seal my tent for over 30 hours during my last run. The plants came out of the ordeal just fine. I was really worried about mold/mildew but ... no problem. The plants were dripping wet, though! Like they had been in a rainstorm.
Your yield estimate is probably pretty close, iirc my BW gave up 3 Oz grown straight-up. I would expect your topped girls to do a little better.

IMO, The light is pretty far away for a 400. BUT, I would NOT try to get it closer with those temperatures. Trying to get closer would most likely do more harm than good.

i cant tell i have become so used to it i dont even smell it anymore. but my bro says it has no smell then he opens the tent and swoons so evidently it is a strong smell. one time i forgot to shut all doors while watering and my brother came over 2 hours later and said he could smell it outside. so from that im guessing prety potent smell.

Nice job on the plants, nuglover! That's a lot of pruning.
I say you're right on with the timing, I've grown blue-widow a few different times and it finishes for me in 10 weeks with 10 percent amber.
How often do they n eed water? I'm not familiar with the nutes you are using but the plants look pretty green. If they take water every few days then it might be wise to give them a good flush at the next watering following that last feeding.
nuglover
11-25-2010, 11:44 PM
they need to be watered every 5 to 7 days. just gave them there last feeding. next watering is its flush. in soil thats 3 times the volume of the pot right?

That is the general guideline.
I've found that with some brands of nutes it is overkill. I gauge mine with a tds meter and found very little change, if any, after the first 10 gallons when flushing a 5 gallon pot.
I let the water dwell in the pot for about 5 minutes before each gallon. It takes longer but I've found it works better than a constant flow, which is what I used to do.
Let me rephrase that. :)
It doesn't work _better_ it just gives the same results using less water. I think that's a more accurate statement.

ok sorry for not posting pics but they were looking scragly with all the top fan leaves so burnt and ugly. but i flushed dec 1st and have cut back light to 6 hours to increase the tric production. looks like finale harvest prep(lights compleatly off) is in about 3 to 5 days away. checked with a 60 x scope and there are only a scattering of clear huge amounts of cloudy and a scattering of amber. and im going to cut the light 2 days(or as long as i am able withstand the temptation which ever is longer) before harvest all together. ill put picks of them hanging.
