Hi all,

I'm a new medical marijuana patient. I have a few issues that I would like to address with medical marijuana. The first is muscle spasms and cramping. This derives from fibromyalgia. It's so severe that my muscles feel like bricks, when it's my shoulder muscles, it causes a lot of neckpain and headaches. I also have cramping from endometriosis. On top of this, I have sleep problems, going to sleep and staying asleep.

I think I'm looking for strains that I can grow indoors, relatively well as newbie, and that will address the muscle spasms and sleeping issues. Two different strains are fine. The first issue I would like to address have to do with the muscle spasms and chronic pain. Secondly, I can move on to sleep, but the muscle spasms are primary. A third issue, later down the line, might be something to do with occasional anxiety. When you're in chronic pain and can't sleep, yeah, you're gonna feel a little anxious, lol.

I want pain relief without going to sleep each time. I already feel like I'm 10 coffee cups short of being awake, don't want to feel out of it further, except perhaps when sleeping.

Form my reading, it seems like blueberry might be a good choice.

I'm in a relatively new medical marijuana state (MI) and have been told to be discreet and quiet even tho it's legal for me. I've been investigating ways to put up a grow room and learn. I was interested in the grow boxes like BC Northern Lights (bloombox /producer) but it's a big investment right off the bat. I can swing it, but want to make sure it's a good choice.

Secondly, I may want to become a caregiver for up to 5 patients and be able to expand my grow. I have only one small room (8.75' x 7.5') available to me in my home. I'm thinking of LED lights or using a closet with LED to keep things cooler and out of LEO's sights...

Anyhow, I've been reading as much as I can and would appreciate any strain advice and grow advice too!

I plan to join the local compassion club to find like-minded friends who can share their wealth of knowledge. I have a hydroponic store so close to my house I could ride my bike there, lol...

I'm such a newbie that I've been telling people if you put a gun to my head, I couldn't roll a joint, but I could smoke it, lol...

I think you've answered your own question(s), goobygirl. Get to know others around you who can offer good advice. As far as various strains go, I think you need to find some other compassionate people to teach you the basics and maybe experiment a bit to find out what works best for you.

Offhand, indica seems to be popular for the problems you describe. Different strains have different properties, though, so you'll have to play with what you can get, first of all, and find out what works best for you.

Get on the Michigan forum and post your concerns and questions. There may be some people close to you who can help you out. Talk or meet with them, and go from there. I'm a brand-new n00b here, but I've found lots of good info browsing the site, and people have been VERY helpful.

I have a friend who suffers from manic depression. It took him a while to find the right combination of drugs to control his problem. After a while, he'd have to adjust it again, working closely with his doctor. He's a gifted man, and sharp as a tack, too. I'm glad he can get a handle on his condition, and knows it can change on him.

You, likewise, will have to be the judge of what works best for you, and gives you the most bang for the buck. I've no doubt that you can get the help you need from people you may not know yet. There are lots of people in medical marijuana who care very much about helping you use it to best effect.

I don't know how Michigan handles it, legally, but I don't doubt that you can figure out what you need and what to grow and get plenty of good advice. Try a lot of different kinds before committing to growing any.

Good luck! :D
