First timer here.
Right now I got two indicas growing under a 400w plain jane GE MH lamp in a small cabinet I build. I had one little runt seedling and 1 pretty decent one. I went with a 50/50 mix of African Violet MG and Moisture control MG in 9"x13" plants. The person who gave these to me to just give follow a watering schedule then add the nutrients after a couple weeks like most guides. I just gave it it's first round of nutes about 2 days ago (end of week 3).
I'm 30 days into the veg and I'm noticing my plants are starting to knot and twist like in this linkl (http://www.420magazine.com/forums/problems-pests-disease-control/81275-cannabis-plant-pest-problem-solver-pictorial.html) which says it's a Ph problem. I ran out and bought a tester and tested the water I use to water my plants. I'd say the water was around 8.0 (pretty dark green). So I PH corrected a milk jug full of water and re-watered the plants with the PH adjusted water. I didn't flush it because I just watered them 2 days ago and I'm worried about over watering. I'm trying not to do too much to them.I collected the run off of a after dumping a full gallon of water in it to flush it out and retested the Ph. The PH came out to be 5.5-6.0. I don't know much about the genetics of these. The person who gave it to me insisted they were clones, but they were obviously seedlings. So I take everything with a grain of salt (he's a friend of a friend). But he produces good quality bud so I don't know really what to think. I need some opinions.
