Question/Help

Hey everyone,

I've just about finished up my first attempt at outdoor growing in East Texas. I basically just planted a whole bunch of seeds from many different strains I've smoked. Some grew, most did not. However, the ones that grew look pretty decent (my biased opinion :D).

I was wondering if anyone here could help me identify what strain(s) this is, and also if now would be a good time to harvest? I'm a little vague on harvesting time/potency/type of high. Just heard that when you harvest can affect all of those factors.

EDIT -I'm mostly wondering about harvesting time, I'm aware that strains are tough/impossible to identify from pictures or even when smoking...-

Thanks in advance, and I apologize if I'm going about this the wrong way. I had read y'alls forum while I was beginning this grow, and figured I should post something and say thanks for the help.

hey friend, well it looks like youve grown yourself a fine crop of outdoor shrubbery there! im an indoor grower myself but regardless the ideal time to harvest those ladies would be when most of the hairs are orange to red(basicly not white) some strains have some interesting hair color... and when you get a close up of the trichomes (resin glands) you see that a good number have gone from crystal clear to murky amber its best to purchase a pocket microscope with its own light for this as you get a much better look

Thank you for the feedback. It's been awesome to watch them blossom here in the last couple of weeks. I've had a chance to smoke a small bud that my wife said had fallen off and it blew me away. Very intense rushing high. Smooth, slightly sweet flavor, no paranoia, but ultra intense. Reminded me of stuff an old hippie gave me back in college. I'd sort of like it to be a bit more mellow and I've read that as it matures, it will soften the high a bit.

Any truth to that, or am I just weak? ;)

By the Way thise Leaves look brutha I'd guess thats some sort of Sativa. And probably a pretty high concentrate like 80%. Thats just what I got from the structure and leaves, looks a little like my Blue Dreams Leaves and Budding Structure of my True Kush...hmmm...

Well, I went through and harvested everything. It all turned out pretty good. I kinda screwed up the curing. Dried a little quicker than I thought it would in my hot Texas attic. The stuff that dried the quickest is a bit harsh on the lungs. *cough* *cough*

But, seems to have turned out pretty decent for my first run at it.
